So in part for my history class final, I have two weeks to write a well thought out, argumentative essay on why certain events in the movie of my choice display American history incorrectly. I have chosen The Patriot, because in case some of you weren't aware, the Brit's didn't actually go around locking up entire towns in steeples and burning them all to the ground. I'm not expecting many responses on this but hey! If this happens to be a topic your'e interested or knowledgeable in, I'd love to hear your input, and/or any argumentative points you have helping towards my cause. I'm already deep into the thick of it but like I said, if this catches any of you please feel free to leave me a tidbit.
I have no idea. I was just wondering if I may have your permission to use your bird scripts from Scavenger and credit you.
If you post this over at r/history you will get several responses. I'm a history buff but not so much American history. I enjoy 10,000 B.C.E to 1,500 C.E much more. With that said, I know that the film doesn't show much of any slavery which was in full force at the time. Also, wasn't the main character based on a guy who was notorious for raping his slaves and killing Native Americans for the hell of it.
yup, that would be the lad. Thanks though, didn't think to try reddit --- Double Post Merged, Dec 4, 2016 --- gopher it
