Subterranean By T3chnomonkey and Spoticusdotcom Subterranean is a small, near-symmetrical map in which some area is above ground, and the rest takes place in a series of runnels. i dont know why, but i really like your tunnels. and i love your idea of the grate...i will be trying this out
yay u posted it lol really fun map i had fun playing on it with yall. the merging of the open boxes is VERY clean and smooth and its such a pain to do but u went the extra mile for a low cieling that adds to the overall aesthetic aspect of the map. And the gameplay flows very well, no camping spots that a couple grenades cant fix and i love the tunnels their fun to sneak through lol. well great map 5/5 and i already have it from yesterday but ill DL again good work man.
Like I saw above, I love the idea of the grate. I've got one or two questions, though. Is the grate completely walkable? Any bumps or parts where you sink a bit? The ramp going down in the picture I quoted looks nice, but it seems as if you have to jump up to the main level when you're coming up the ramp. Is this true? Any chance we can see some pics to clear this up? Don't think by my questioning that I don't like it. It looks very clean, very nice.
yes it looks very well done u took the time to interlock all the double boxes in the tunnel into the ground it looks really neat my only concern is spawn killing?
To clear things up, yes you can walk fine on the grate, you'd don't fall partially or all the way through, although it took awhile to get it like that XD. And yes dented, you have to jump up from the bridge, unless you walk to the very end, then you can walk off I believe, but I'd have to check. Feel free to download it to find out. lol EDIT: To Driscoll, unfortunately, spawning is usually a problem on all small maps, but you won't really notice any issues unless your playing with more than 4 people FFA or more than 8 with teams.
I do, really like the grate, it's pretty awesome, but couldn't you just use a fencewall, and get the same results?
We wanted you to be able to throw grenades through it. Plus, its easier to see through then a fence wall.
