Getting back on the horse after the Destiny/Titanfall/Life break. Reworking Avenue (and soon all the other Breakout Initiative maps) for the 2.0 settings. All of my small maps have scaling problems now. Other than WoW, what's everyone been up to?
I've always been **** at Battlefield, but the Open Beta was quite a bit of fun. How do you like the single player?
This is my first BF game since Bad Company 2 so I can't compare it very well but I liked the campaign, a bit short but fun. Seen through the eyes of a few different characters on different locations.
I stopped playing Halo and got laid. Twice. In the same week. Forgers HATE the secret! Unless you are a proud owner of The Master Chief Collection!
Well I'm sorry to hear that you don't like my posts, I never meant to upset anyone, I just get get sad because I love this website but I obviously don't like the game it represents. In any case, as an avid artist myself, I find (good) competitive gaming to be a notch above forge, while most other mediums of art are a notch above both. These are just my opinions, I'm not looking to get into an argument. Also, you seem to think wow is really stupid, can I ask why? --- Double Post Merged, Nov 16, 2016 --- I've been playing WoW for years, but long breaks are common with a life consuming game. Have you guys played WoW? I'm just wondering because WoW pvp is probably the most in depth and strategic experience I've ever had outside of Starcraft.
Its almost unfathomable to me that you honestly believe "competitive" gaming to be on par with the visual arts when it comes to developing the same areas of the brain the visual arts develop..... "https://www.google.com/#q=visual+arts" Artists around the world are turning in there graves.... Forge is a Visual Art. "Competitive Gaming", in the context you mentioned it, is not. Plain and simple, nothing to argue about. WOW truly has rotted your brain.
Nope, they removed it about four weeks ago. Four months ago they tried to remove it aswell, but then somebody made a poll on Waypoint and 92% of the people said they want to have it back. By the way, stats are being updated again, since yesterday.
You may be able to say visual arts are more beneficial for brain activity, but saying competitive gaming "rots your brain" is simply idiotic.
I didn't directly say the visual arts are more beneficial for brain activity. That's extremely vague, as I'm sure a lot of your brain is used in CG. What I said is that forge, as a visual art, uses and builds the same centers of the brain other mediums in the visual arts do, areas that aren't used in "competitive" gaming. When I can told xandrith Wow was rotting his brain it was an over exaggerated expression.... I don't actually beleive it rots your brain lol
Obviously it's an exaggeration, but you're basically saying "xyz brain activity is superior", like, why? He doesn't want to forge for a game he (and a lot of other people) thinks is shitty anymore and is putting in his time elsewhere, and that for some reason is "pathetic". Not like he's the only one who comes here to post mourning the death of halo, I literally see these posts like every three seconds. why bother roasting him for finding something else to do with his time lol
There is definitely a difference in creating art and putting objects together. Yes, both take a certain set of skills, but to compare the likes of forge to the visual arts is just wrong. To me, forge is just a really advanced puzzle. The two would be comparable IF we actually modeled and textured the objects, but we don't. And did I ever say that competitive gaming was a visual art? Did I ever say that competitive gaming developed the same part of the brain as art? No! There's nothing to even argue about here, you just didn't read my post I guess? Man, I said I didn't want to argue. Leave me alone.
