There have been the occasional rumors since last year about a Halo 3 Anniversary and I was just wondering if I am the only one who wants to see this happen? Don't get me wrong, I love how good Halo 3 looks in the MCC, but with how amazing Halo 1/2 Anniversary were remade, and how awesome the recreated cutscenes were, I just can't help but want to see a Halo 3 Anniversary. Not to mention that I want to see remakes of High Ground, Construct, Narrows . . . Hell I want to see a Halo 4 and 5 Anniversary just to roll the dice that we might fix that pretty mess and return to an older art style.
I would like to see this just to make fun of 343 for making a game that doesn't look, play, or sound half as good as its 10 year old counterpart.
Most of the reason I want to see this happen is to see the awesomeness that Blur does to the cutscenes, but then everything else kind of needs to be cranked up to match. The only thing I didn't like in the previous anniversary makeovers was the need to make all the dark area's light. I really loved how black the large light bridge room was, and the glowing bridge really sold in that dark environment. It might have been more subdued than other games, but the original trilogy had a nice horror undertone to it. There were some distinctly creepy moments in there that I miss in the newer titles.
True, the bridge was way better, but on a side note, the H2 darkness was often in mirrored levels and kinda dissorientating at times. I really enjoyed the more light and detailed campaign. Made it slightly better imo. I never had that problem in CE and H3.
