Happy Halo-ween! It hasn’t been that long since our previous contest, Hub of the Dead, but in spirit of the coming spooky holiday, we, along with the talented folks over at Creative Force, are taking part in the festivities.

Announcing the Halo-ween Pre-Fab contest! The premise is simple. Creative Force has designed a blank Haunted House map, and we need to make it spooky. That’s where you come in - choose one of the categories below, and build a pre-fab for that theme. You can test it on the blank canvas provided, and the winners will be placed on the map by the ForgeHub staff team and the Creative Force team to make an Infection map that the entire community can enjoy.

CANVAS
Forgers CaptainPunch374 and Randy 355, along with other members of Creative Force, have graciously built a canvas for our spooky Pre-Fabs to call, "Home". Here's a few screenshots.




Again, you can find this map here. This canvas will be the basis for the finished Pre-Fab house, and Pre-Fabs submitted should be ready to be placed on this map.

JUDGES

The judging team will consist of the staff members of ForgeHub, as well as some members of the Creative Force team.

PRIZES

We will be offering a variety of awards and winners of each award will be given Gold REQ packs. These awards may or may not include things like: Best Interior, Best Outdoor, Most Spooky, Best Scripted, Most Toddler Friendly, Most Artistic, etc. Awards will be based on the submissions that come in so get as creative as you want.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: May I modify my Pre-Fab after submission?

A: NO. You are not allowed to make any changes once you submit. If changes are made, your Pre-Fab may be disqualified.


Q: May I submit more than one Pre-Fab?

A: Yes! You may submit up to 5 Pre-Fabs for this contest, however, if more than one of your Pre-Fabs wins, the monetary prize will NOT be awarded twice.


Q: Is there any age requirement to earn a prize?

A: No. Anyone at any age can win a prize.


Q: May I remake something from another game?

A: While, yes, you may do this, you will lose some points off of the Originality category. Let your creativity flow!

SUBMISSIONS

There are three parts to submitting a map. First, save your Pre-Fab with the following tag: “ForgeHub Halloween”. This is so it is easier for us to find the Pre-Fabs with the new Content Browser. Next, you must submit your map on ForgeHub’s Pre-Fab page. Once you complete that, you’ll need to submit it to our dedicated forum thread found here. Please DO NOT submit Pre-Fabs here. There will be a guide on the submission thread on how to properly format your post.


Submissions will be due (tentatively) Saturday, October 22nd at 11:59 PM EST. This is so we can allot enough judging time to go through each submission, however we are not necessarily against a time extension, if necessary.


Also, we STRONGLY recommend that you make your Pre-Fab with under 30 pieces, so other Pre-Fabs from other creators can be placed on the map as well. If a pre-fab is larger than the recommended piece size then we may ask you to minimize the piece count, or the pre-fab may be altered if needed in order to be added into the map if it wins a category.


NOTE: Do NOT use pre-fabs made from another user. Plagiarized pre-fabs will be immediately disqualified, and that user will be shunned forever.
