It's because of those lights. You can't generate lighting if you have too many baked light sources in the map. Change them to dynamic.
Oh really? I'll have to try that. I dropped them down so they won't emit, but if I change them to dynamic it'll work? Dope. Thanks haha.
Oh so that's what it is. Ok good to know. Will the lighting change if you turn them to dynamic? I never use it really. What does dynamic do actually?
Dynamic lights aren't part of the baked lightmap. In general they'll appear a bit differently, and their light will pass through objects.
Dynamic lights generally have better light and shadow quality. Moving objects that pass through them, say a Spartan or object on normal physics will cast a shadow under there light. The dis advantage of them is rhey derender at a short distance. Non dynamic lights cast static shadows only but do not derender and are better on Framerate. Objects on light bake off will not cast shadow from any light source besides the natural light source on the map and local light will pass through them
Pics and a detailed guide on the ins and outs of lighting in Forge or it didn't happen. I finally had a full like work-length day of being able to think well enough to work on something (it's been weeks or months!)... So I totally wasted this tiny rare slice of "life" on Forge object movement. I should crush myself with a Pelican dropped from a crane assembly, but that would never actually work. At least got my notes put together so that they might be of use to someone. 13 pages lol. Really like 11.5 pages and some is overview junk, some rehashed stuff, and plenty of blanks that need to be filled in. And nothing in the Solutions and Recipes For Reliable Movement section. NOTHING. But there might be enough info to spark some fill-ins for the blanks. The Google Doc is open to the public and editable so do whatever if ya feel like it. Take a giant dump on it if the mood strikes cuz that'll teach me. Here's the link: Halo5 Forge Movement & Rotation Info Dump
I stand corrected. Read the description of them, must of broke this last update. They were def not like this before
Pretty sure they were like this at the start, then broke in one of the updates and are now fixed again.
