They would if they weren't shot out of the sky so quickly. It only take a warthog and a few guys to confuse the pilot and take it down. Albeit coordination in matchmaking is rarely seen.
They really don't. Heavies had a lot heavier content. Wasps can fall to simple sustained loadout fire. I'm talking tanks rolling around, Banshees/wasps, multiple ghosts on each team, etc. Then the players on foot are given ways around the vehicles, such as vantage points and cover. The power weapons on the map are replaced with stronger weapons, or in H5, REQ weapons are now an option. That sort of more chaotic and heavier ordinance style gameplay.
Just no.... No wasp is like a warthog tier 2 class vehicle if deadlock had a ****ing tank on each side of the map and two wraiths then yea it might be heavies but no he wasps don't make it a heavies map and the wasps are gimmicky on deadlock also the wasp only takes 3 REQ points in warzone unlike every HEAVY vehicle which is like what 5 and up?
Wow, I don't recall Heavies before Halo 4. Hard to recall H3 thru Reach so I guess didn't play a ton and didn't venture out of 4v4 arena or something. In H4, heavies for me was running around a bunch and suddenly getting blown to bits without seeing it coming. Still fun, once I kind of got the hang of it. There were some distinctly different play styles you could use. Vehicle domination was the obvious way to play, but people were effective in other ways. I usually didn't get my hands on the big guns, but I could create some havoc with the ghosts that were always lying around. Since BTB was 8v8 it never played smoothly here on the 360, even when we got fiber-based internet. 6v6 Heavies played much better. Server hosting in H5 has made things a good bit better but I think any lag or low system performance is a killer for me these days since my visual perception gets trashed at times, so it's hard to compare things from then and now. I think I find H5 BTB a bit bland somehow, but maybe I'm just too out of sync now.
Halo 5 Btb is bland because of the nerfing of the warthog. It's a pea shooter and is way too easy to destroy to be a viable vehicle to get kills in. Another thing that makes Btb bland is that most of the maps in matchmaking don't support a single heavy vehicle on either side. Some just have one heavy vehicle in the center. These things make Btb mainly just a larger version of 4v4 where its infantry vs infantry most of the time. Unless it's also ghost vs infantry
Yeah, I think that hits the nail on the head. Tons of marching around to find either some action or something powerful usually just to end up getting killed by the people who got there a little ahead of me. I'd rather have the map overloaded with power stuff so we can not bother to think and just duke it out than spend so much time running around. I definitely play at a fairly dumb level since I just can't sense the flow of the maps, so I kinda get it if people get more fun out of these maps, but I just end up a little confused and bored, which is new for me in Halo.
