Crack den, buttefly ranch, uhhh, McDonalds. Hey that train of thought had a short route, Crack den + Butterfly ranch = McDonalds. For serious.
Made some more prefab crap for around the house. Some lounge stuff, tables, a garden fireplace and a pool. (No cannonballs please)
Working on a scale version of the White House in anticipation of VIP being added to Halo 5. If this is finished and VIP doesn't arrive, i will create a custom siege gametype.
I had a somewhat similar idea that revolved around the surrounding environment moving instead of the platform. This technique was designed to give the appearance of movement without having to deal with the main platforms object stickyness I figured if I made it foggy, it may further help to hide the issue. I don't know why we are still having this problem with even minor object movements.
Working on a few maps with a bit of a story to them, namely this conflict: http://www.halopedia.org/Jovian_Moons_Campaign where its situated in ruins of the old war or other areas related to this campaign.
Yeah, I've been trying to make a cool door over the last few days, but after a few times opening and closing, the pieces are so misaligned that it looks terrible.
For real haha. There wasn't enough scripts to have a detailed environment and rotation, so I went the welded ring route with a gravity slide gear thing in the middle of it all. It's hard to stabilize and unpredictable whether it'll work or not. On top of that, the lag is bearable, but makes slayer unplayable. @Yumudas Beegbut, if you have a better idea, I'm all ears man! It's the first Parallax unnamed map on my fileshare haha.
I know a lot of people don't like the prefab thing. But honestly, it's a great tool to move your creations through different canvases. If we couldn't share it with friends people would just ***** about it.
Does anyone know where I could find some blockouts of maps for me to work on my aesthetics? I can make a map that will play well but it would be very bland, and I'm not very good at making small details on my maps (even though I don't have any finished maps).
I actually think @Egggnog was starting a competition soon where he would give a blockout out for everyone, and whoever's was best looking would win. But you could just use the block out for practice. Am I right Eggnog?
