yeah man, i know how it works. it doesn't stop the fact that its a **** move. I'm just going to report his file on the content browser.
Was it really tho? You care to much man. Reporting it's gonna do nothing besides making you look like a tightwad. Loosen up bro. You can literally copy anyone's pre existing prefab and save it as your own. The system was designed to be this way. Its about sharing, not about ooh this is mine this is mine!!!! Seems childish as hell you even care
a prefab is different then stealing a whole map. seems childish as hell that you're getting worked up over this. i reported because as an creative individual (outside of forge) i don't like plagiarism. it was my choice and i made it already so move on man
if you look up his gt and find his version "CARNIVAL" you can see he ever so slightly modified aesthetics, and generally used the layout except made it huge. looks more like a btb version of my map. honestly i would be totally down for someone taking freakshow and remixing it, but its kind of respectful to ask first. for example a few months ago approached me and asked if he could make a race track based upon freakshow and using the aesthetics i created. i was 100% down, mostly because he simply asked me first. just my opinion tho
I get that it's your work and therefore your choice, but if he's not releasing it anywhere, it could be that he was just messing around in a map that he thought was cool and saved it for whatever reason. If it's been posted/promoted somewhere, then it's obviously wrong. Likely that the map was never meant to be seen by others, though. Anyway, I don't really care one way or another haha, just curious.
you're right man. it was never really a huge deal to me, kinda funny actually. but it did touch a nerve just cause i have some experience with plagiarism in my professional life. i kind of brought it up in the first place just to get the dudes name out there in case he does something like this again, or if he already had and someone was aware of him. besides its not like I'm going to court over this lol, i took the two seconds out of my time to press the report button. its all good homies
if anyone tried to pass one of my maps off as their own i would laugh at them from upon the fields of gold as they failed miserably.
This is Forgehub, always joking homie. This is a fun place, I don't see why some guys take it too seriously.
So I finally had time to use Halo 5's forge this weekend, so much better than the old Halo's https://twitter.com/bilzo4/status/775361817665216512
I'm currently working on a mini game where the platform starts getting smaller and smaller. My scripts work perfectly for round one, but it all falls apart in the subsequent rounds. If anyone can help me out, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Finally got my dialog and some dumb AI birds coded! Spoiler: Dialog and dumb birds!! But Halo related, I've decided to finish this grifball map for submission for the next round of grifball maps. It's finished.
Yesss! More Japan please! I remember yours from a while ago @Yekkou. Glad to see it become a Grifball map!
Its still really plain, but I'm making progress. It's called "Beacon" currently if anyone wants to take a look. If anyone has PC Forge, please message me if you are interested in testing or customs. I think eleven people is the most I've had on so far and that isn't a big enough pool to start any sort of lobby.
You'll want to checkout my Mongoose Sumo map (or Warthog Sumo, pigs are over in Alpine area). Each ring is on a channel like Alpha-Echo, and everything is controlled by the Pigs on the bottom. I had to use 3 pigs for each ring in order to have consistent timing in between rounds. The ForgeHub YouTube channel also posted a tutorial for Multiple Round scripting, but I didn't really follow the logic.
