I've said this before but I will say it again, the forging, lighting and atmosphere are all incredible. Talking about nailing a theme damn. Brilliant.
Wanted to say a few things that I didn't put in the thread but I should've. HUGE thanks to the following people. Xandy, for testing and suggestions and moral support. Same goes for Given, he's the pal. Big shout outs to these two guys. Goat for saving my ass with lighting on the map and helping me make it look the way it does now. Couldn't have done it without you, seriously. I was very close to deleting it from all the lighting glitches. Bro Bear, Salty, and Kurismic, because reasons <3 And the whole ID team for making the new DOOM the most beautiful game I've ever seen. This map has been in progress from March of this year and was only truly completed yesterday, so that should give you an idea of the time and love that got poured into it. I hope everyone can fall in love with the design, the lighting, the sounds, the atmosphere, and the journey this map will take you on :] Few things to watch out for! I'm going to add a gameplay and commentary for this map sometime this weekend, and a raw gameplay video hopefully the same day. We'll see how that goes. I'm switching out the version seen in screenshots and that's available now, with a newer version with a structural center piece instead of the current one that's made with rocks. The current version will be available as Oblivion Stone on my bookmarks. And I'll be adding a pretty cool retro Doom easter egg pretty soon hopefully Anyways, that's all. Rip and tear everyone! EDIT: Also! There's no filters on any of the screenshots in this thread! Cool huh --- Double Post Merged, Sep 8, 2016 --- Means a lot man! Thanks and thanks again!!
This may be your best work to date, congrats on getting this finished Now that you've created your Mona Lisa, do you feel intimidated by the prospect of your next creation?
Weren't you supposed to quit after Shire sorry to be that guy but I mean... you and Xandrith..... .......
"I won't be starting any more maps in Halo 5" 4:44 I guess you're pretty right assuming you had already started this one
Bingo. I actually had several maps at the time I thought I was going to finish, I ended up just giving up on all of them, I just don't care to finish them. The fact is I even gave up on this map for mooonths, I wasn't planning on finishing it until extremely recently. Where I got on and grinded it out over 3 days or so.

(quote) Made frame rate worse. Pretty much all credit to Goat, he did all of the work for this. (/quote)
I'm am ecstatic that you finally finished this! I remember when it was just plasma rifle hall, a couple of rocks, and the cathedral . Great job Chrissy, once again astounding me with your knowledge of Forge and classic arena shooters, 6/5. Btw, for all you "scrubs" out there running around on this map with your heads cut off, there is definitely more than a few choice jumps and ledges on the map - learn them, exploit them. They're purposeful, for the most part, and will augment your chances for success extremely. Hail to the Deceased (Competitive) King :3
