I'm new to the community and currently don't have many friends on Xbox that play Halo currently. However I have 4 Forge maps that I'm looking to get better testing out of and want to know what you recommend? My Maps are: Installation: 4v4 small indoor asymmetrical map with various routes through a forerunner theme. Built on Alpine. Arctic Bluff: Either a 4v4 or 6v6 map that is set with an ice theme, mostly symmetrical design. Built on Parallax. Repository Garden: Is open BTB map with only few vehicles but open space and a large warehouse building for close combat. A negative map effect puts all the colors opposite giving it a very unique look. Built on Tidal. Yoshi Egg Arena: Played with game type Yoshi Eggs (mini-game style). 8 player FFA with only one luck magnum round for each life; grenades everywhere with bonus for sticking or assassinations. Focus on controlling the one plasma caster for the chaos to ensue becomes increasingly fun. Thank you for your time.
Yo, if you didn't know already, they downed the requirement for DirectX to 11. That was the reason you couldn't right?
It is not dx 11. It is dx 12 feature 11, that is not the same thing. Also, Hardy Lebel is accepting sign ups for the third of his webinars now https://hardylebel.leadpages.co/lp-webinar-1/
All I know is my laptop said Direct X 11.2. So if y'all just got me all excited again for nothing I'm going to flip a table somewhere. I can see a Walmart from here so probably there.
Welcome to the site Waldo. I'd recommend checking out this thread - http://www.forgehub.com/threads/forge-cast-week-of-september-5th.153787/ You'll find information about, and links to, testing lobbies you can submit your maps to (you can also potentially join in on the testing session). To find out how to submit a map to each of the testing lobbies, click on the links and you should find instructions in each thread.
Ah yeah, that's right. I guess I'm just confused. I bought my laptop for college, so I wasn't looking for a great graphics card. It's just an Intel HD Graphics 4400 that's said to support DirectX 11.1, but I've got DirectX 12 installed. I didn't meet the requirements before the downgrade, but after I did. So @Zombievillan, I'd run dxdiag and make sure what version of DirectX installed. If it's 11 I'd still attempt to install 12 (which it should already be 12 if you have the Windows 10 Anniversary). Then I would download the bundle package (Halo App and Forge), here. I'm still in the process of downloading, so I can't confirm it works fully yet. Worth a try though haha.
Let me know how it goes. I'm out in the field right now so I can't do it until I get back to my office.
Ahh...see that's the great part. It's not a 'duty' anymore, and I don't feel like I need to be patrolling the forums whenever possible. I can help out when I want, and ignore everyone when I want. I can speak my mind a little bit more freely, which is awesome. The thing is, I actually enjoy being helpful, and I feel like it's just common decency to be welcoming and helpful, especially to people that are new to the site.
when your laptop is miraculously good enough to run forge pc but im tentatively waiting for it to crash
You know it was mentioned there's an auto recovery feature built in. I need to find out where I saw that, but that is one nice feature the added if it's true.
