It aint much but hopefully this helps. I've been sketching a few layouts for this concept based on a resort in Mexico I visited and I just threw a little bit of it together crappily. Blockout of another lame remake I made. Recognize the layout? I've made a bit of progress since this shot, I'll post more of it soon.
Well I tried to stop a banshee and this was my results (IN FORGE): Wasp gives up at 2 gravity volumes Phaeton gives up at 3 gravity volumes Banshees give up at 7 gravity volumes Bouncer beats ghost Bouncer beats hunter Bouncer beats EVERYTHING EDIT: Bouncer does not beat a BOOSTING phaeton
just dealing with some ****. probably too hasty to delete all my accounts but i'm focusing on other stuff for now.
From what I've noticed grav volumes affect framerate hell of a lot more as bouncers are more effective for what I am using them for
Did some more research, trees in the background affected my framerate, but having 24 grav volumes did not cause any framerate issues (tested with both visible and invisible versions of largest size) placed 16 bouncers and no framerate issues as expected, also learned that the bouncers can't stop a ground pounding spartan. A boosting spartan can sorta be stopped with stacked bouncers that result in a superbounce. RESULTS: Grav volumes (in/visible) do not cause framerate issues Groundpound beats grav volumes and bouncers Spartans can boost through a bouncer Boosting through 12 stacked 64x64 bouncers can result in height greater than 64 units Walking through the back of 8 stacked 64x64 bouncers can achieve heights greater than 64 units Boosting through 16 stacked 64x64 bouncers http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/REX JOURNEY/video/20745902 NOTE: all results were produced in forge and only tested the largest possible bouncers and volumes
I got bored, but in the process may have found a way to make a banshee centric infection/firefight, where survivor can have wasps but have no access to some areas
I'm working on two projects now that I've got time in the semester holidays. Firstly I'm creating the first working relay race in Halo in the style of a jump and run - Skiing spartans would be kind of a problem to build, haha. I think this could start as a new kind of tournament on a Halo Youtube channel. The stage looks slick and hopefully the scripting is done soon. Secondly, I was still kind of pissed that Cheops got ignored like that, so since the new updates, I think, I can finally fulfill my vision of that map and convert it into a puzzle map. I think, one reason nobody cared about it, was that the pyramid - 1:1 rebuilt using chroma screens - looks like this from a far distance. ^^ That's why I told people to look at it in Forge without generating the lighting. But since almost nobody want to look at it in Forge, I think I'll have to think of something else. Maybe the pyramid is in the works at that time period, where the game plays, I don't know. Suggestions are appreciated.
Welp, it looks like Goat really is leaving us at least for a while. I'll try my best to fill his shoes as the official ForgeHub Meme-Master, but let's be honest, it'll probably end up like this;
Don't worry, Meme-Masters are like the Sith, there are always two. I got this. And I started working on something since Snake Pit is basically done for now.
I am putting my own spin on the mantis fall game mode that various people have done. The TF2 tech test got me in the mood. I made a proof of concept with scripting effects and it turned out great so i made a teaser haha.
Started a new 2v2 yesterday. Its playable, but I have a long way to go on the art. If you want to check it out its called Synthesis. The current setup is OS, Plasma Caster and Plasma pistol.
Don't go for a generic Covenant art style. Maybe a Banished map? Designing a linear-like infection in a jungle, to the top and left are my palettes.
@NOKYARD - I Noticed this while looking at your avalanche rock. This map looks aesthetically awesome in the photo.
Agreeeeeeeeed! Genius use of stacking chromas! I haven't wanted to borrow an idea so badly for a while haha
