I love themed maps! Dark Souls especially. I had looked into making the crucifixion woods from 3 at one point.
I'd say go ahead an do it. I'd love to see more dark souls 3 maps. I've also made a recreation of dragon barracks from dark souls 3 which works ok for 1flag but it looks pretty terrible. I may go back to it with the increased budget though. And If u like themed map, I'm ur guy. Not the best forger but I always choose an original theme. I got a pirate map, sanghelios map, favela map and I'm working on a heavily scripted map set in a giant clock tower with moving gears and pendulums etc.

/dislike I really liked this map. I liked playing on it a lot in my customs. This was a fun map to play slayer on and it wasn't a sweaty map, which is nice once in awhile. I am sad to see you make this change. It would of been better had you made an alternate version for the aesthetic map.
Shame to hear but I'm afraid it's to late now. I could whip up a slayer version again but of course as it's not sweaty, it wasn't popular in testing. Did u prefer FFA or team slayer?
