ExtraSpicyMemes submitted a new map: Mirage - A beatutiful forerunner Big Team Battle map set on sandy abandoned installation. Read more about this map... --- Double Post Merged, Aug 14, 2016 --- Please give me feedback I want this map to be the best it can be.
Please give me feedback this is my first core map and I would love to hear honest opinions, my budget is full and it would be hard to do anything aesthetic at this point, some things had to be a certain way for performance reasons. But as far as balance goes I will take all the help I can get.
played this in a lobby and everyone loved it, thought it looked amazing (didnt have a big enough lobby to do big team, so I cant tell you how it plays). Looks fantastic though! I am intrigued to see how the size works out if I get a chance to play this in big team. so my only complaints is the lighting on some of the terrain (i am not sure if you have light bake off on some of it, but if you do I suggest turning light bake ON terrain because the shadows look really sharp between hills and flats). Also, there were a couple of the larger "rock formation" pieces that seemed a bit high out of the ground, they didnt seem to blend into the ground very well ( a problem I have often had myself). And finally, maybe not having every power weapon on a weapon pad? (this just seems to me how they do it in matchmaking, but I understand that for people who may only play this map once or twice, rather than enough times to learn locations, it is imprtant for them to know where they are at from the beginning). any way, awesome map! great work. Love the architecture!

Try to avoid pointless updates like that. http://www.forgehub.com/threads/to-update-or-not-to-update-that-is-the-question.153429/ Let's keep the front page neat, yeah?
My bad I thought the Easter egg and weapon change was worth noting, some official rules on this site I think would help clarify a lot. I can only assume if its worthwhile, the thread definitely helped a bit, should have just edited really.
That was just bugging me but other than that this map is amazing! I love how you did the forerunner architecture and the elements from Valhalla are spot on! P.S. I didn't mean to offend you I was just pointing out an error
Believe me you need a lot of effort to offend me, you were not even close, in fact i'm thankful. I would have been upset if I found this out like a week later I always appreciate suggestions and support as long as it isn't passive aggressive.

Just a heads up, the water sound while walking on terrain is only in forge. I can confirm this does not happen in custom games. In fact, while forging, you might find a few oddities within the forge canvases. Alpine has the most noticeable ones, water lines, terrain lines, etc. All not there when you load a custom game. So feel free to do the terrain you want, because it is just a long time bug in forge.
WHAAT, ok im mad at all the times I have changed items because of this. Luckily everything is nice so it won't matter. Seriously thank you. Also your review helped a bunch, my goal is to have this be matchmaking quality.
Why you remove Harambe doe? In all seriousness I'm glad you reduced framerate, it was an issue when my lobby tested this. Other feedback included either toning down speed of dust wind override to make it seem more natural or even have it blowing in the direction from the ocean into the closed valley. Possibly another anti-vehicle weapon to combat the banshee. Players dominated with them for periods of time, although I'd like to test that out again. Other than that, players love the look and feel of the map!
I didn't want to remove Harambe, but he kept kidnapping people in the cave so he had to be dealt with. I originally had an Arclight instead of a regular railgun to be the anti vehicle weapon, I really want to avoid using a laser but I may not have a choice. Maybe an arclight with 3 shots would be perfect.
