I'm really liking the pallet ships. This looks like it has tons of potential, I think it would improve a lot if you added a pallet area with a ladder to access the crows nest it would be really nice. Aesthetically I think it needs some work though, if you can help it I think the cannons could look a lot nicer and the environment could use some tweaking. May I recommend making furniture then welding it together and turning it to normal physics so you can add detail without taking away from the sinking game-play element.
Thank you for the feedback! I thought about adding ladders but I wasn't sure how I could execute it correctly. Also, I am aware that the cannons look.. off.. it is because wielding objects to the gungoose can be kinda trippy, for example if one of the wielded objects touches the wheels, the gungoose will fly and crash. So I went with safe, but I am definitely going to improve it. I won't be home for the next 3 days so I won't be able to do anything at the moment but when I come back I will definitely update it.
I had no clue you used gungeese that explains it quite a bit, I should have looked more closely. You can use gravity slides and put the near make shift ladders and it will function just like a ladder of course it will be cod style and you float the whole way.
Well here's the thing: I used ropes on the ship and gravity slides to access them. the reason I used ropes instead of ladders is because the gravity slide is a phased-only object, so if I attach it to a rope, it will be phased as well and when the main mast falls, the rope will stay up there floating, and it is much less noticeable than a floating ladder.
I still have an idea. Will run your map in a custom lobby tonight probably. I'll post back here with any feedback
Ran a 5v5 and I personally loved it. Seems like you did a good job balancing everything. If there was one thing i could suggest I would try to make the cannon operators more exposed so that other cannons get credit for the kill by damaging them more easily. Other than that great execution and great idea!

this looks cool! Each of these ship gametypes that have come out I have been wishing there was destructable ships (which scripting does not really allow for unfortunately). I am excited to try this out
Fun minigame, I really like the cannons as gungooses and the fact that everything can fall apart. It seems to play great with 16 players, why is 5v5 the max player limit?
I never tested it, and it just seems too chaotic to me, as I am not sure if the ships are big enough.
