Elevation: An all-new map! A flawless map designed primarily for One Flag and Territories...

    Download ELEVATION here!

    Map Description:
Elevation is a medium-sized semi-symmetrical map designed primarily for one-sided Objective games.
The map has an original and quite unique layout ensuring that no battle plays out the same way twice. Interlocking and save & quit techniques have been used to make the geometry as smooth as possible.

    Layout:
The map is, overall, quite linear, running the length of Foundry's main space. Contained inside the walls is a complex and beuatiful network of open spaces, narrow corridors and threacherous staircases.
The focal point of the map is the Defender's Base, known as the High Platform in non-objective gametypes. It is the highest part of the map and spans 5 x 3 boxes in size.
Staircases which branch off either side lead down to the "Wings", where much of the map's combat takes place. This area is quite open and is accessed from many directions.
In the center of the High Platform is a hole which drops you into the Sniper tunnel, very reminiscent of the Shotgun corridor on Guardian and Blackout. Following this tunnel forward (away from the High Platform), you will emerge into a pit which connects the Wings on either side. Behind the pit is a walkway which has almost no cover.
Above the Sniper tunnel is a gravity lift that levitates you up into a narrow corridor, which leads forward into the High Platform. It is almost impossible to get down through the grvaity lift, dooming anyone in the corridor. Get out of that deathtrap quick!
That just about sums up the layout, let's move on the the weapons!

    Weapons, Grenades and Equipment:
I worked hard when making the map to ensure that each of the drafted weapons would not excel in every area, and that dream came true upon Elevation's completion. The weapon set is balanced and there is always a counter-weapon for whatever is dominating the game. Here is a list of all the weapons, grenades and equipment on the map (including their respawn times):

    4 x SMGs - 60s
    4 x Spikers - 30s
    2 x Plasma Rifles - 30s
    2 x Battle Rifles - 60s
    1 x Shotgun* - 120s
    1 x Sniper Rifle - 120s
    1 x Needler - 90s
    1 x Plasma Pistol - 90s

    4 x Plasma Grenades - 30s
    2 x Spike Grenades - 45s

    1 x Bubble Shield - 120s
    2 x Trip Mines - 120s

*Only one spare clip. All other ballistic weapons have two.

    Game Types:
Though the map is functional with all gametypes, but was designed specifically with One Flag and Territories in mind.
Capture the Flag includes fully-functional "Flag Away Zones", allowing you to cut off a flag carrier making the relatively quick return journey to his base. Respawn times of 3-5 seconds are highly recommended.
Team Slayer and its variants (especially SWAT) play very well on this map, and the team which controls the High Platform can detrmine the outcome of the game.
All other default gametypes are not really suited to the map, but true to my "quality guarantee" they all work fine.

Now I think it's time for some screenshots:

All these screenshots were taken in Forge so you can see where respawn points are, giving you an ideas of where opponents may reappear in game.

I hope you enjoy the map immensely. Please leave feedback either here or in the map thread if you have time. THANKS!!!!

Hello and welcome to forgehub. I hope that you will continue to be a part of this community and will be active. However, your post is not up to forgehub standards. You must have your images embedded. Please read this topic for more information about correct posting format. If you need help with embedding pictures, follow these instructions. You must first access them from your screenshots section in your Halo 3 bungie.net profile. Then, save them to your computer. You must use and external image hosting site, such as imageshack. Upload the images then select them. It should provide and image url for you, then take that url and insert it into the text box that appears when you click the image icon while posting. Good luck with your post, and if you need any further assistance please PM me or a forgehub moderator.

(i removed the / form the last part which should look like this )

The screen shots you posted are the thumbnails not the actual screen shots.

    1) go to this link http://www.bungie.net/stats/Halo3/Screenshots.aspx?gamertag=Loaja343
    2) click on the screen shot you want to use
    3) click on it again (when you go to the next screen)
    4) save it to your computer
    5) upload it to image shack or photo bucket
    6) put in the BB code

Enough, it's already been explained three times. And I'm not talking about continuing to help him, like texturedlemur. I mean, enough of 'pics are too small' type of posts. Don't continue posting stuff like 'No pics no clicks', or I'll report for spam. Case closed.

I honestly feel that Brute Captain's post was enough; however, lemur went more in-depth to help loaja, so that is not the predicament.
