    We should have a forest object, just a large amount of trees in one object so that it doesn't kill framerate and object count

    You're better off:
    1) taking pictures of assets already in the game
    2) just making one big post that you send to him instead of filling up his notification tab

    I don't think you really understood my suggestion. Having multiple objects on the screen at once would kill framerate worse than having one object, even if it shows the same thing. For example, having a rock arrangement on the screen is better than using multiple rocks and boulders. Tree "arrangements" would do the same thing.

    What matters is polygons (and FX, but that’s not relevant here). The reason that the rock arrangement is better is that there are fewer polygons than multiple rocks and boulders, partially because there are less wasted polygons where the rocks intercept/go underground. There’s no way to optimize for polygons with a forest piece without making the trees low quality.
