Hey man, im not going to tell you to what you should and should not do. But drinking and alcohol is a terrible thing to me. I have been on the receiving end of what alcohol does to people so just be careful man

I'm 29 and a former Marine... I've had plenty of experience with substance abuse to know the dangers. :p

    Do you English?

Eh not really. You might be healthy in some respects, but the smoking/drinking is still doing damage in some respect, which might not tangibly show now, but will soon.

Hangovers getting worse? Thats your liver not being healthy any more since it cant flush out the alcohol as quick.

Same if people eat shitty diets but exercise a lot. Your V02 max will still be great, hence why you can run and all that, but things like saturated fat will still hamper your sports performance, and then visibly show as you get older.

Nah, I just spent too long looking at the post trying to figure out what your point was. Went from animal food, to human food, to gamers, to being healthy.

I could have done a better job on the delivery, the OP left much to be questioned. But i believe my follow up corrected all of that in a nice cohesive manner.

Smokers who haven't exercised a day in their life and eat McDonald's everyday live till they're 80. While triathlon athletes fall over dead at 30. I don't really understand your original post but this is the only response I could muster up.

If this goes on for too long, one can develope cirrhosis. Basically the liver begins to fail and toxins in the body cant be removed (thats the livers job). One affect by this will become weak, no longer eat, the skin will turn a yellowish hue because of the toxins. Feet and other body parts swell with inflamation as the body fills with toxin substances. Hospitalzation and death are likely if one continues to drink.

I think you've touched on a very important piece of the puzzle. We have yet to unlock all of the secrets of the body. But don't be decieved, there are always the exception to the rule. We can be certain that living a healthy and active lifestyle does amazing things for us as individuals

I still have no idea what youre talking about

Eh I hate this opinion with a passion. What killed the athlete probably wasnt fitness related, or could even be over training. It basically encourages people to not exercise.

As for the elderly example, Id love to see someone who smokes AND eats mcdonalds till they are 80, again too extreme to example. Those that do smoke and live longer, great, but 40/50 years of non smoking would have dramatically improved their life quality.

    Cheers google

I can agree that being in good heath is great for the human body but it does not necessarily equal a good life or anything. I have had points in my life in which I am eating healthy and working working out regularly and yeah it feels good. But not necessarily a good life

Causal reminder to all. Healthy eating/fitness thread

    http://www.forgehub.com/threads/the-fitness-healthy-eating-thread.149357/page-3

Not really because it comes across like hes talking like a robot, rather than the facts used. Im making a casual comment to schnit about drinking and hangovers. The reply "if one continues to drink" , "Hospitalisation and death are likely to occur" is not how people talk ha.

That wasn't the point, and i don't believe i even made that claim.
I can talk like that when i'm im the zone. He already mentioned he had a history with substance abuse so i don't think's it's too far fetched to give him the benifit of doubt, instead of feeling threatened by sombody else's intelligence.

You can lock the thread now m8 ;)
