I can't help but feel like the new updates "reload" the maps messing with frames and object placement. After an update I have gone on maps to find pieces in slightly different positions. Just a thought
Yeah, every time I group 15-20 or more objects, move it and ungroup it, they all ungroup with the angles being off by like .01-.03. Which I am like an OCD perfectionist type so that bugs the crap out of me.
Oh yeah ik what you mean, I use the coordinates to do all my object positioning because I know it wont move, unlike the precision stuff What I hate the most is when I create a large wielded group, I duplicate it, but im near the edge of the map and it glitches those pieces to kingdom come. I literally have a giant rock formation floating off in the distance on my recent map because I cant reach it (luckily it is not at all visible when playing the map) but it takes up lightmap.
WeedCough updated Freakshow with a new update entry: FREAKSHOW FINAL UPDATE - July 11th 2016 Read the rest of this update entry...
Might want to figure out a way for people to get the final version of the map since I think it is a new file. I found it, but the 2k people that have the v2 version don't have it because you did a new file instead of just updating one. Maybe forge labs will put a new link in his description.
Yeah this has been a problem for a while. I linked the new version from Forgehub to Waypoint. For some reason though every direct link from Waypoint that I put in the thread doesn't work. If anyone has a fix for this tell me! It'll say that the file doesn't exist, even though I directly linked it. I know people don't like to have to go through my bookmarks and find the newest map, but at this stage in the map development, and from the advice of a few other forgers, I decided to make new files for the newer version. It's kind of annoying, but I did it this way so I could make huge radical changes without the risk of screwing something up. My next map will not be done like this and will likely be only one file. But this is the final version of Freakshow, so this is the one you'll wanna keep. No more new saves, I will only continue to tweak this version. EDIT: Yeah, really weird. If you look at the comments on the Forge Labs vid () you'll see that the link I posted brings you to the file on my Bookmarks on Waypoint, but the same link brings you to some text on Waypoint saying "this file has been deleted or does not exist". If anyone has any clue what this is about tell me
Make the radical changes on a seperate file, then once you think it's the right choice, go make those changes for the main file. Just like a developer, have a dev build you can work on and then you can push out the new build after you test and find yourself happy with the changes. It's a little extra work for a lot less worry and it is clean for the people enjoying your map. That's what I do at least, for the most part.
Found two minor issues when I played this today. - The magnum has 2 spare clips. Just no. Keep it at 0. - Two people in my game got in the school bus and it was quite a pain to kill them. I'm pretty sure you didn't intend to do this but I honestly think it's not even a problem for someone to be able to get there. They'll die quite easily if they hold out inside it. So either make a real way to get inside the bus and hold out in it or fix the vent windows to prevent anyone from getting inside.
