Yes it did some map such as Sanctuary and Foundation inspire me a little while forging this map. I'm glad you like the aesthetic.
I like it as well, however it feels too much of the same. I would either add a border, a pattern, or figure out a way to have a theme with a secondary color. An example I can think of would be the BTB map Altar. It hosts a dominant tan color while adding in some brown and they compliment each other. That's something that can make a good aesthetic great! I'll check this out tomorrow!
Thanks for the idea I will definitely try this ! (edit) I did make some minor color change and I added vegetation and a few thing here and there.
Okay after walking around the map, I have a few suggestions. Definitely add in some additional color, maybe the brown I suggested. I really like the layout, but I feel a second weapon pad is in order for a typical 4v4, the spot that would make the most sense would be the top of the bridge where the carbine sits (Sniper? Railgun?). I understand this is your first released map, and I do like the layout for sure. You have a lot of z-fighting around the map, which forge provides a z-fight fixer option in the way we move blocks. Z-fighting is 2 pixels or sets of pixels fighting over the same spot causing that glitchy look on the piece connect. A few areas where you have the vines with the flat tops look out of place, either use the fuller vines or have a small ledge there so it looks like the overgrowth of vines actually are growing off of something. Lower the strongholds in my opinion, have the fat bottoms in the ground like they would have them in matchmaking, it would feel cleaner and more like what people are used to. You also have some light bake cloudiness on pieces, which can be fixed by either adding a light in that area and putting the brightness at like .5 or so, so it is subtle, but gets rid of the cloudy look. Typically you can turn light bake off on those pieces then as well as it is receiving light from the light and doesn't need the bake on. Layout looks fun and I look forward to an update on your map, as I would enjoy this type of map in my lobbies. I know this was some negative feedback, but know that the good feedback for this would be a great design and I can see the gameplay feeling very competitive and fun!
These are some very good and helping information and tips you just gave me. I really appreciate you took the time to tell me how I could improve the map and its feature every feedback is good either negative or positive.I will definitely take a deep look at everything you stated to try to improve my map.I am not sure about adding another power weapon pad because I felt like the bridge was the best side to hold it kinda help for the rotation and overall map flow , but I haven't play test it enough to really tell.. I am aware that the stronghold objective aren't spot on I only place them to get an idea its not finished. I really appreciate the tips for the weird cloudy black shadow some of the vines cast I will get rid of those. Thanks for your valuable feedback you can expect an update very soon !
As far as the weapon pad, I think you should try it, I believe every 4v4 map in matchmaking has 2 pads. You nailed the size of a fast paced 4v4. Ideally, the map flow makes me think of Collesium, which hosts the Sniper and Rockets. --- Double Post Merged, Jul 10, 2016 --- 2 tier 3 weapons is kind of a staple in most maps since rockets and sniper on battle creek.
I did add a Sniper Rifle and made a lot of change see the description for further information. The map now support Stronghold. I did removed most of the vines because of the shadow issue. Again thanks for helping me to make Ancient a better map !

Classic halo2 MLG style design, Fun and easy to learn. Aesthetics/ lighting look very good. As far as making the maps textures less monotone, you might consider making all the "primitive" materials a mix of marble, wood and stone to enhance the look.
Thanks I appreciate your feedback ! I am still working on texture and color in the map I am doing my best to improve the visual as well as the gameplay.
