the audio port in the back of the xbox is broken. the stupid flap got jammed and now the cable doesn't snap into it anymore. if it's messed up it's probably because of that. edit: actually it might just be the chat adapter. It worked fine earlier when i unplugged it.
I've started saving copies of some people's files so that if they ever delete them in a fit of rage or lose the file some other way, they'll be able to grab the backup from me. I deleted all of my files earlier this year and I've so far been able to recover a few of them. @Sethiroth had a version of Spellbound saved and that's what I've been building off of since April. I was also able to recover an older map from SilentRaine through Waypoint file search and I found another map there as well. I know @Xandrith deletes his maps all the time and I imagine he regrets doing it at least once. It's not as big of a deal if you're building structural maps, but terrain takes a lot of tweaking and scaling and you'll never build it the same way if you have to rebuild it. So if you need me to save a copy of your map, just holla and I'll do it. @MultiLockOn I have Oblivion Beta saved. I also have your giant ass castle map from a while ago saved. I never knew what became of that.
Hi guys, I'm still here. Really stoked to see the **** y'all will be able to make with the extra 600 blocks! Unfortunately though, I am sticking to my word and not returning to forge. I mean, it'd be nice, but when you forge, map design is constantly on the back of your mind, and I can't afford that sort of distraction right now. I will, however, probably be sprucing up Twice Forsaken and Raven's Lair. I can make the interiors of TF look much more aesthetically pleasing with the budget increase, but could probably use a hand with coming up with stuff.
I made that castle in like two days because it was a generic ass overscaled layout that I figured generic people would enjoy in the 2v2 contest because it's generic and overscaled. Then I realized, **** boring people.
I'm working on getting enough money together so I can buy a bunch of games from the Ultimate Sale. I'll probably never play the games I buy, but I have an addiction to getting stuff that is at a good deal... like a lot of stuff... that I don't need... someone please help
Its not the typical symmetrical Halo map its needs a little Halo fan based loving. The map is labeled Amitayus and can be found in my map variants STRAY morais. I used my background in packaging designing and my love of indian/tibetan pattern design, willy wonka, mega man and def Halo to make this map . Im a zany graphic designer in person so I kind of made the map a little like my personality. This was my first map in general so there might be a couple things that might need to be tweaked for major gamers.Revised skybox - Halo Ring ( darker blacklight feeling) Screenshot -1 Screenshot - 2 ( lighter skybox) ORIGINAL PROMO TRAILER The map is setup for a couple different game modes. I would love some constructive feedback and nothing too banal lol ... The map def needs some feedback in regards to weapons and spawning. I have had a person or two say this map lacks a center point but I think with the new forge update and added pieces to the counter... I'm going to integrate the center beacon base and center floor a lot smoother. ( i was maxed out before the update) P.S. You can find me on Halo 5 all the time (Stray morais), I'm always up for looking at maps and lending a hand or a little creative advice. I'm in the Skullkrushers and we are a mult. gamemode playing clan as well as forgers. We are wicked laid back so feel free to reach out.
Was it symmetrical for the people in the 2v2 contest too because I hear people in the 2v2 contest LOVE symmetrical maps
It was an asym with his signature teleporters and catwalks. Honestly I was looking forward to playing on it and it would have probably placed highly. I'd like to see the design revisited at some point, although the allure of a castle might no longer be as unique.
I remember people were modding canvases so that they could have far more objects than Forge Reach would allow. This sounds like a good thing even if it is a bug, yes?
Yea and we should embrace it. Tom and Unyshek both said maps with modified physics are fine as long as they don't have performance issues. Anyone building a terrain map should consider breaking the budget if their map needs it.
The main map I'm working on right now is a BTB vehicle focused map. I've been making lots of tweaks thanks to testing from Max's lobby. This other map is an infection map with a theme based off of a rainy 343 guilty spark intro. It has rushing river sounds placed everywhere to create a rain sound effect and it has scripted lightning and thunder.
