Personally I was under the impression that the playlist would have gone live in April. I think if 343 had given us a June date, the contest may have gone on longer.

Played 6 or 7 doubles games last night and have to say I'm really impressed with the maps on pretty much every front.

It's a shame that no symmetrical maps were up to snuff, but it's clear to me after just a few games that there is a huge variation in style of play between the maps, in fact - some of them play a lot like symmetrical maps would (two even sides that interact over multiple sight lines) I wasn't bored at all as I played the different layouts. Really happy with them so far, and hopefully I can use what I learn from them to improve my entry (which understandably didn't make the cut)

3 Legged Goat, what's the best way to find out the issues with the map I submitted?

I only have one thing to say of the two games I've played in the doubles playlist:

Got wrecked on Hazard, rekt it on Cobalt.

Gotta go with Multi in saying the two best have gotta be Cobalt and Optic. Specifically Optic. There's a lot of interesting dynamics on that map between the elevation, and this is possibly the only map I've played outside of Damnation & Imminent from Halo 1.5 where nowhere feels "safe".

    It forces you to actually:
    A) make choices
    B) move
    C) use your pistol skill to duel opponents.

Hats off to @purely fat for such an interesting and unique map.

I'm sure one of the judges would be happy to relay feedback on a map for anyone that asks.

You submitted Barge, correct? We enjoyed the map's theme and creativity, but felt that the layout was unpolished and needed refinement. All that would mean is that there may have been poor sightlines and/or extraneous or awkward paths in a few places that didn't need to be there. Or perhaps the Forgework was messy. I don't have any notes on gameplay, but I remember pacing being an issue as well.

It's a great concept that just needs to be cleaned up.
