Every Map Theme is "Abandoned"

Yeah but it's still working but theres no one there, so it's semi abandonned?

It can still be running. A car might be abandoned, but it's fully functional.

Like the car that is being run by unseen motors? =p

It means no living presence is there.

Ha, I'm a victim to the abandoned band wagon. Maybe I should use a thesaurus and look up some better words.

 

What are they then what should we say. This enclusive area is home to many boxes, crates and walls. When you're playing on the map, the only people on it are the people in the party. There arent cities of other people, what do want. It is a basci theme. Its not even a theme, the theme is the water park, or sewers. The fact that it is abandonbed should have nothing to do with it.

 

there are plenty of stories that allow a decent story whilst avoiding jumping on the abandoned band wagon (oxymoron?) like, you are in a spartan detachment deployed into a city that is in lockdown after a bomb threat (assault)
or,you are a survivor of a crash that landed in a remote village where some of the residents take up arms against you.
basic, crappy examples, but it proves that it is possible.

 

Then answer me this, why does foundry make lil tingling noises?

Obviously everything in Halo is going to be abandoned. The truth is that everybody's map is using this abandoned structure for playing a game of Halo.

 

What excuse would you have to have a completely empty area perfect for combat? Would you rather have it be a populated place, full of people, but everyone disappears when you start a game?

 

I have the solution to your problem. It is simple, you can build people out of crates and barrels, and call them people. Then, when you walk around, you won't feel so lonely, kinda like the Bungienator.... Great! Problem solved, and if you are wondering as to how to complete the females, why cones of course!

 

Abandoned seems to be the theme in halo all the maps are from old wars and the forerunner who are gone it makes perfect sense to use abandoned to me

 

Its not always abandoned, some are about endless conflicts, etc.

But yeah, putting abandoned in your map name, or description is VERY lame.

 

I was under the impression that whether or not a map was abandoned make a difference. In anything. At all.
