FORGE FORGE PLS Literally one year ago... This would have been unheard of in Forge. Now it's flat out capable of making dev quality maps.
That's what I'm saying man! I'm a visual dude, so aesthetics are really important to my forging process. I've only had this FH account for a few months (even though I lurked hard), but I have been forging since H3. I was always just so visually disgusted and limited with the old tools. Say what you want about H5, or 343 in general, but I think everyone agrees that they have completley knocked it out of the park with this iterations forge tools.
Played this in my weekly customs and we had a blast. Everything is designed so well! One issue we all agreed on, if you get atop the carousel as humans, it is incredibly defendable, our first two rounds were great until that spot was discovered. I would suggest a few more ways to clamber up the carousel. Other than that, this map is really quite the accomplishment!
This is a dev map, right? No? Well damn! But seriously, this looks incredible! I definitely have to give it a download and try it out Great job!

Yeah man. That's been said about a million times. You know, I shouldve expected it, given that Activision and Call of Duty invented abandoned carnivals /s. Sorry, I'm not trying to be a jerk, I'm just sick of that comparison. If you read the actual map description, I openly admit that the center funhouse was heavily inspired by Carnival. But it also mentions the rest of the map was an concept I have been working on for about 2 years back in Halo 2A. I even shared a picture of my (terrible) version of it. The idea came from American Horror Story's Freakshow season. It always has and always will. Here, this is actually the picture I first looked at, like 2 years ago now. It is a set picture of the Carnival/Freakshow from American Horror Story. Also, this still from the show. Notice anything similar? Originally in Halo 2A, the main center holdout was a tent with a stage in it, much like the one in the show, only with a clown instead of a devil. When redesigning for Halo 5, I chose to borrow the funhouse idea because I thought it would be much a much funner area than playing in a tent with a stage. The layout is from my head. The clown center piece and funhouse were things I came across on google images that just happen to be from MW2. The visuals came from set photos of American Horror Story, pictures of abandoned carnivals in Japan and Europe, and the amusement parks near my house (Wonderland and Exhibition), and yes, the funhouse in Carnival from MW2. I didn't just plop down to play some MW2 (what is this 2008?), saw Carnival and said "derp, I guess I'll rip this off in forge". Again, not trying to come off as a jerk, I'm just frustrated that a bunch of people on YouTube are basically calling me a con artist aha. Hopefully this clears that up
Wow! This is pretty cool. I live in Ontario and I've been to Wonderland tons of times. Fun place. The rainbow arcs totally look like the ones from Wonderland. Glad I browsed the comments here. Anyways, awesome map. Hope you enjoyed the showcase I did, it was fun to make!
I never knew that! That's awesome dude. Always cool meeting Canadian forgers and I'm glad you caught onto the rainbow arc, cause I took that straight from Hanna Babara land aha. Also, the swing ride was inspired by Wonderland! At one point, the map actually was going to have the main fountains and Wonder mountain in the middle. And yeah dude, thank you so much for making that vid. To be honest, I've been watching your videos for a long time, so it's really excited to be featured in one

To keep things simple for everyone, you shouldn't do "Save AS" anymore and do "Save" instead. If you simply save over a previous version, it will push the updates to everyone who already has it downloaded. But when you "Save As" it requires everyone to download a new version of the map.
Oh ****. I just save it as new files because i get this glitch when trying to rename them. I'll keep that in mind in the future thanks man
When you finish a map and you are ready to playtest it, then do a "save as" for that and keep the other as a back up, but from that point on, only update that map. That way, you avoid the new name issues. When I play a bookmark, if the author had updated their map, it reflects in the bookmark. I would suggest making the changes on the file that is on here and make sure it's the same in your feature. That way, you will be updating a file that everyone has already. Good luck man and great work!
yeah man, i'll be for sure doing this in all of my future maps. for freakshow, i'll continue to update V.3, so that will be the "final" version
