I'd like to hear the community's thoughts on Power Installation 484. I've heard lots of talk about it. Would you rather have it removed. If so add some reasons why...

Generally all players on the map head to the one central holdout and so I can see why people want it removed from matchmaking. I, however, believe it should be altered instead so that that particular area is more vulnerable and another area or two are more viable as holdout positions.

I personally only enjoy about 2 or 3 of the maps in the rotation. I think it needs some small changes and it would be good to go. The problem is everyone holds out in one location (the tunnels) when there are several holdouts on that map. That just goes to show how over powered that holdout is. Nerfing that particular spot would do loads for the map.

I think The Crypt is another infection map that needs reevaluated. It looks beautiful and nothing against the creator, but it needs some changes to be an effective infection map. As of now there is only one hold out area that anyone uses and that is the bridge. The problem is that the bridge is extremely overpowered as you have a good view down the corridors that the zombies come through. I think of all my matches there the zombies have probably won 2 or 3 rounds. Not just that, but I don't see any other hold out location. A good infection map should have at least three that are balanced.

Then there's R.I.P Tide, I don't really think I need to go into detail here.

Removing R.I.P Tide and doing some small changes to Installation 484 and The crypt would do loads for the playlist.

The second wave is coming out in a few days or something, right? Id assume all the maps being updated since there wasn't infection to test the maps with before inplimentation into mm. I'd hope so anyway. Any that haven't been altered should be removed in my opinion.

I wasn't aware that the second wave was coming so soon. This is really good news.

I'm not a fan of Power Installation at all. It's not just the tunnels: the overall flow of the map is lacking. The backroom with the computer screens that has that switch to open up the gateway to the tunnels lies too far behind the rest of the map. This makes for one-sided gameplay. The building opposite of the sniper building features a balcony that is too dangerous to stand on for a long time, so the only reason to stay there is to be inside. This, again, breaks from the flow and increases campability. The issues with the tunnels have been mentioned above.

Ultimately, I'd actually get rid of the tunnels altogether. It'll make the map feel much, much more open in general and turn it into something more complete instead of a bunch of separate holdouts.
Over the years, I've learned that this is a value that shouldn't be neglected. It's not just competitive maps that need to put all the pieces together: Infection maps should have designs with areas that fit together just as badly.

But honestly, this map needs so many changes that I'd much rather just see it removed.

I've had several good matches of this map where a few of us survivors decided to holdout one of the rooms leading off the bridge and the cavern next to this room. There were only 3 entrances and it was fun to holdout in even if most of us didn't survive. I also see a lot of players holding out around the purple pit and on top of the tallest rock formation. Not everybody stays on the bridge and if the infected are smart and rush the bridge at the same time, they can take down 1 or 2 humans. Just my thoughts.

I wish I had those experiences on that map but I'm just getting the opposite. 1 holdout picking off zombies down long corridors. I have yet to play a game where people hold out anywhere else.

I agree that The Crypt is beautiful, but that map is way too easy for the survivors. The bridge and that tall rock formation just provide ridiculous lines of sight. If you have a few people on either, it's very, VERY hard to break.

Power Installation tunnels don't need to be removed, but they do need to be reworked.

Also, remove that stupid radio dish spot under the ramp on Black Friday.

Remove Power Installation and replace it with Stigma.

    Serious beans:
My main gripe with the map is the ****ing basement. Holding out at the top is actually ok. Not saying it's great as it can get kinda boring but it's definitely more balanced than the basement. I also agree with what's said above regarding making changes to The Crypt to improve its lackluster gameplay. Not just these two maps though.

And can someone answer me these?
    • Is there going to be a third wave of Infection maps? My map is not gonna be finished in time (thanks college)
    • If there are going to be changes made to the existing maps in the playlist, will those changes arrive in the next update? Because I'm currently working on a video that talks about all the Infection maps in the playlist because it's not just Power Installation and The Crypt that could use some changes. Don't even get me started on Nerve Center.

    --- Double Post Merged, May 23, 2016 ---
More and more maps will be add, not sure how many updates but a few. If you have a map submit to the BIOC testing lobbies for matchmaking consideration. And don't hate on the maps in a video, I'm going to be making a thread were people can provide feedback to forgers that have their infection maps in MM.

I could be totally wrong. They did announce both 1st and second wave dates though. Pretty sure. I remember reading everyone complaining that the first was before release and second was too soon after.

Keep the map in multiplayer matchmaking. Great aesthetics, different gameplay with unique areas of the map...don't let one camping area ruin an entire map (maybe adjust/move/remove some of the crates people use to wall themselves in that infamous camping spot).

Not hate. I'll just say what's wrong, what I don't like, what could be done, etc. It's criticism.

Well, you know. I didn't know how the game-type would work when I made the map + changes from 343. I'm currently trying to get a lot of matches on it so I can get a better understanding of where I would want to take the gameplay. So if anyone has any thoughts or feedback on the map it would be highly appreciated to be tagged so I could actually see the feedback. :)

I have seen plenty marches in favour of the zeds. Most times people are hiding out in that room across from the bridge. To the right is the purple blue rocks straight ahead is the bridge, a suppressor is in there.
