99.9... I agree about weather effects which should be blocked by solid objects. Need script on EVERY objects... Really... Spwaning, dead zones, trait zones when it'll be added, gravity volume etc...
Are there any good Halo 5 objects to replace the tunnel (long), tunnel (short), door frame and Brace (small) from the previous forges? It's annoying to have to use 3 or more objects in Halo 5 to create things that only took one object before.
As for scripting, why can they not get the objects to rotate smoothly and consistently (and simply move smoothly and consistently). Also missing are the trigger/enter/exit volumes. Without trigger volumes and smoothly rotating/moving objects, there are so many things I'd been looking forward to doing with my Cubeskew maps that are nearly impossible to do (or that will take up too many objects and scripts).
Aren't the weather effects just screen effects and not real particle systems? If they are, then having solid objects "block" rain/snow/etc. would be nearly impossible. Weather-free volumes that work similar to named location volumes would probably work, but the downside is that each one would count towards the object limit.
I love Forge and all but don't you kind of feel like it's an old school engine that is just cheating it's way to victory.
I agree, I don't understand why not use CryEngine or UE4 for a next Halo Game... It could be more beautiful and the engine could allow better result in a Forge gametype... I understand that, and I already thought about volume of weather as gravity volume or things like that. It could work yes, but yes it could have a price...
We have chroma/greenscreen objects, but it would be awesome if we had a chroma canvas (ie, the only background would be solid color). Possibly a new Parallax variant. Said canvas should have a unique setting in the menu to change the chroma color. That would make it possible to have total, 360 degree greenscreen coverage without wasting objects.
static halo wars vehicle props. i know that you cant just add vehicles like that to the game so im just asking for props like the hawk and other vehicles like the pelican was added and also how about a orbital battle skyline for parallax
1. as many props are possible from all the warzone maps 2. more block textures if possible but i would prefer more overlays if possible like sand, cracks, moss, puddles maybe, battle warn ie like bullet marks and explosion marks, rust, slime tho kinda like grime, burned/soot/ash, rubbish could just be paper and stuff on the ground. 3.1 by 1 block list please.
Trait zones like the ones from H4 and H2A. Shield doors that behave like the ones from Reach-H2A (shields that you can see through and walk through, but they only block projectiles, kind of like the projectile blockers in H5, but I want to be able to see them in Customs.)
FEATURE REQUEST: Add health, the On Health Below condition, and Damage: Ratio action to switches, or create switches that have them. They don't necessarily need to be destructible from player attacks or to even show that they've been damaged. Just the combination of the On Interaction condition plus On Health Below and Damage Ratio could save us some scripts and messaging channels. But if you grant deluxe wishes, then add options for: Allow Player Damage i(Yes/No) or Damage Resistance (Indestructible, 0 to 500 or whatever), Display Damage (Yes/No), and Despawn When Destroyed (Yes/No). Hmm. Having a "Visible" option for the blockers that make them look I like destructible shields would be a nice general option that covers your idea. Better yet, make it an "Appearance" or "Style" option and give us choices like None, Shields, Ivy, Opaque, etc. We could similarly use an "Indestructible" seeing for destructible shields. Ooh, or a "Damage Resistance" setting that has an "Indestructible" option. In the meantime do we have items we can fake it with? Some items don't cause collisions, such as chromas and ivy, but they block visibility. Can't recall if we have things like that but which are translucent. Maybe the decal + lighting trick could work? I forget if the decals were see-thru. Also could use those new Covenant UI computer display things. Do you mean a list of all objects that are 1x1 or an addition of 1x1 blocks to all block lists? Wow I can't recall if we have 1x1 blocks. A "By Size" option in the main Add Object menu with lots of common sizes (especially smaller sizes) would be a fantastic UI addition to Forge. Nice. Also ask Rooster Teeth what they need to make some RvB footage using H5, if that's not being done. It would be quite insane if that weren't being done, but I'm just saying... just in case.
It would bee cool to have the option to make a custom shape on zones, specially "Named Location Volume" just like we can do in Far Cry 4 map editor mode. But obviously on every type of zone based object/objective/zone etc. I have to struggle with Named Location Volumes when I want to name a special location on the map. You can make walmart brand shield blockers with the use of hills set to visible in combination with projectile blockers, they're kinda ugly but work
Thanks for the tip! But it is some unnecessary objects, I had to use four more objects just because one feature does not exist.
