@Demption try Comic Sans next. I hear that's a popular one. And I did think that was originally just photoshop.
I want to design a hell themed map. It will be indoors, in the style of a dungeon and I have quite a lot of ideas about the visuals and ambience of the map. As a dungeon, it will have three lanes with some aspects of an asymmetrical map, as each room will vary between sizes, shapes, and aesthetic details. Can anybody recommend me with things that could be applied to the concept?
Fire and skulls. Lots of both. And Comic Sans, make sure one room is entirely made of words written in Comic Sans.
Did someone say castle? It's a co-forge between purely and I. None of this is final, but I figured I'd tease it a bit
don't wanna go through menus and find the right blocks don't wanna run around on the layout for 10 hours wondering what's wrong with it don't wanna use my brain and solve design problems don't wanna wrack my head against lighting problems don't wanna bug people to get a lobby together don't wanna type up 10 paragraph hype threads don't wanna type up 10 paragraphs explaining why i scrapped the map afterwards don't wanna play halo 5 need a break overwatch 3 days
"don't wanna go through menus and find the right blocks" THATS IT RIGHT THERE! Freaking trying to find and utilize the right block takes 5 times longer and is 5-10 times more mentally exhausting for me. The Halo 3, Reach 4, and H2A pallettes were memorizable so eventually I was just whipping through 2 or 3 options and trying them out for the best fit, not slogging through menus trying to guess WTF it even is...to the point of forgetting what I was trying to do in the first place...better item browser PLEASE based 343i Forge team! PS you know I was pulling your leg Goat
they also had a lot less items though. i mean a loooot. Not saying the UI for forge is any good (I have no opinion), but to compare it to the past forges is a disservice, the sheer number of objects makes that comparison irrelevant.
The sizes and textures are inconsistent and there are too many numbers. It's a hassle and it's exhausting. There's a reason why I've stuck with terrain most of the time, but that's annoying for its own reasons. For example, messing with lightbake to get your rocks darker and your terrain pieces the same shade.
tyrant is a tyrant xzamples if you're reading this I'm gonna make house of agony for real this time and it's gonna be sexy af
Yes, inconsistency of the numbers is a big bugaboo. Could the CAPI being built be used to create a companion website, with cascading menus of every forge piece and effect, with descriptions, dimensions and a picture of said item? Please and thank you?!?
