    ShortTower submitted a new map:

RECLUSE (BETA) - A semi-symmetrical Forerunner map, set upon a ancient navigational computer.

Beautiful map. Got big Guardian vibes as you said. Love how you placed the textures. Haven't been able to test them out myself really but I have a little on a few of my Infection maps. Also love the natural placement. Would love to play it sometime.

Also, thinking of changing the final name to Navigator. Not sure which ones better...

Recluse fits in more. If it was more winter themed I would call it Navigator.

"(something I don't remember being in much of Halo CE, except for maybe The Maw and even then it wasn't really much rusty Forerunner architecture...I could be wrong!)"

    *Cough* Relic and Containment *Cough*
This map seem less Halo CE but more Halo 2

You're definitely thinking of Halo 2 with the rusty Forerunner look. Everything on Delta Halo was supposed to look dilapidated and neglected due to the flood outbreak.

Yeah, I'm glad it reminded you of Relic, theres actually a reference to that map in the description, and the name "Recluse" is very (purposely) a similar word. You're totally right about Containment though. I totally forgot about that map :(

You're right, Halo 2 has more examples of rusty Forerunner architecture. Will update post.

A very good looking map, love the rusty texture. Some grass and other vegetation could be a nice touch to accompany the trees.

    UPDATE (01.06.16):

The middle structure was added to close the gap between the two sides of the map. I thought magnum battles were not fun in the middle of the map, so I wanted to provide some separation. The structure also acts as a way into the deck of the main building and provides cover to both bottom mid and the ramp down to Garden.

Spawning was completely redone, as they were a main complaint in play testing. Spawn zones added!

People also seem to want more long range weapons to account to the scale. I added two LR's to the streets leading from Garden to bottom mid. Additionally, I switched the BiR and IC to each others spots. I hope this will cause some more activity at Garden.

I also added more jump ups from bottom mid to top courtyard (pic 5), as well as a ramp from bottom mid to red base (pic 6).

I hope everyone enjoys the update and don't be afraid to give me feedback!
