True. But the show's idea of a character's arc and the book's idea of a character's arc are two totally different things.
#****Olly Also the writers completely ****ing trolled us with that tower of joy scene cutting before Ned finds Lyanna lmao
I got a notification that reminded me this thread was a thing and I was gonna come in and say the exact same ****. I want Olly hanging as the background for my computer. Haha.
Couldn't even care that Arthur Dayne wasn't wielding 'Dawn', the dual wielding was ****ing incredible.
Hopefully Arya doesn't get one of the good people as a target... I really liked how the Tree Man showed Bran where it's at, he's kind of losing the point of him being there.
That fight scene was amazing. The TOJ troll though... If Jon and Sansa miss each other I will be so upset.
A little bit torn on that ending. The producers love playing up that 'immune to fire' **** but the instance on the pyre back in S1/AGOT was a result of the blood magic sacrifice of Dany's son. It's a shame the show have really taken away from the 'Magic has a price' theme that the novels have for the wow factor. On the other hand it was a wow factor and probably the best moment we've seen from Dany's story since she took the Unsullied at Astapor. The Jon/Sansa stuff at Castle Black was awkward at the end but the reunion was cool at the start. Plus I really enjoyed that we got a version of 'The Pink Letter'. Of course the context is different but it still does the job in getting Jon wanting to take Winterfell, this time he won't get stabby stabbed for it though. Kings Landing is still a snooze fest. Wish we got some of the batshit crazy Cersei from AFFC where she burns down the ****ing Tower of the Hand. Or the actually cool Jaime which gives up on Cersei and goes on his Riverlands arc which just further redeems his character. Hopefully that comes soon? From the looks of the trailer some version of that should happen. Again Meereen is boring. Wish they just sped up this setup so we get the Battle of Slaver's Bay before Dany comes back. Having her come back to a shitfest of Unsullied/Second Sons vs Harpies/The Masters and then throwing in a Greyjoy fleet in the midst would (will?) be epic. Right now it's just meandering along instead of creating tension. Asha... wait Yara/Theon stuff was kind of cool. I'm intrigued at the idea of Theon being at the Kingsmoot, should be nifty. Also **** you littlefinger, hope Lord Royce and Sansa **** you over you piece of ****.
Pretty sure Dany has always been immune to fire/heat. A scene in the first season shows her getting into very hot water with no issues.
In the show at least, now lmao. She always had some resistance to heat as that bath scene showed. Not immune to fire without magic being involved in the novels which is why I was a little bit thrown off.
I heard she had a clause in her contract that she wouldn't do nude scenes anymore, wonder if that was a stunt double with some sneaky CGI or she went back on her clause.
