    FORGE BUG REPORT THREAD

    I'm sure you are all loving the new tool set but if you happen to stumble across bugs or have complaint issues please post them here. Remember to be respectful when posting your comments, the team at 343 that will be addressing your concerns in future updates. Lets help them help us;)

    WHAT MAKES 343 LIFE'S EASIER FOR BUG REPORTS:
    - Take screenshots of what you are referring to when you can
    - Submit video links / DVR as much as possible so they can confirm bugs faster.

    Note to all:
    Do not delete the initial spawn points on your canvas. Set them aside or move them when you are ready. 343 is aware of issues that occur when these spawn points are deleted. They will resolve this in the future, in the meantime just keep them on your map.

      So a quick save before des pawning the object with a script should allow it to work correctly in customs? I'll have to try that out.

      kind of, like I tested it out in forge and it magically worked. we then saved and never tested it again in forge

      Massively annoying bug.

      So a map I've been working on for months suddenly has one section of the floor that makes you invulnerable to grenades.

      I've deleted everything and rebuilt, used different pieces, everything I can think of. Nothing works. Happens in both Forge and Customs.

      Anyone experienced this?

      Not a bug, but definitely an oversight: When setting up sides spawns for CTF/Bomb, if there is another spawn zone on the map that overlaps with the sided spawn zones and it doesn't have spawns turned off for a specific team, it over-rides the sided spawns.

      ImposterIng for Cylinder 16x16x2 Full is broken after Memories of Reach. They dissapear at a distance of around 300.

      Team labelled Blocker One-Way blocks all teams both ways in Custom Games. Works fine in Forge mode.

      Neutral Team Blocker One-Way SHOULD allow all players through. Otherwise they behave exactly as normal Blockers. At the moment there are NO methods to allow for One-Way movement for all players equally, since One-Way barriers are still destructible.

      Sometimes when I forge, my whole day disappears and I don't get my homework done. Is this a new bug?

      With this latest update, the lighting on my maps has been completely messed up.

      I haven't touched this map in around a month due to Forger's Block. Nonetheless the lighting has gone crazy like this all over the map.

      Here is another example. I've only been working on this map over the weekend gone. The map so fair is made of primitive blocks and 2 pieces of glass. 218/1024 Objects and 58% Lightmap. Screenshot-Original-29.png

      That looks super weird...Did you try selecting the objects or rebaking lighting? I found that some of the lights in my map do not appear in forge as they do in gameplay unless I select and deselect them. But I let the lighting do its thang and it usually works out...

      I've tried selecting and rebaking them, changing the texture, deleting and replacing with a fresh object. It shows up in Forge as well as Custom Games.

      It's on every single one of my maps.

      Hmmm! Have you tried displacing them and moving them back, or rotating 90 then back? I wonder if it can be fixed with a little trick. Otherwise... :/

      It's the lighting being casted onto the objects which is glitching.

      I now tried hard resetting my Xbox, rotating the objects and replacing them.

      I changed the SkyBox from Ascendance to Exosphere and a green light radiates over the entire map. I have no extra lighting placed that isn't map default. So there definitely is some weird bug that is happening to me.

      Exosphere uses a cubemap of 0,0,0. I'm guessing you have a green piece at 0,0,0 which is causing everything to be green.

      All of my objects are set to default colour, so I'm not sure why something would be green. I'll take a look at that when I get home though.

      In the meantime, I don't think the block at 0,0,0 would be affecting the lighting that's happening in the first few pictures.

      This is so frustrating :facepalm:

      On the new map Stasis, all of the fire and smoke effects and some of the jet effects will become completely or partly invisible if you turn the weather in map options to Snow (Heavy).

      I can't say if this applies to any other map as I haven't tested for this glitch on other maps yet.

      EDIT: So I tested this on Glacier and got the same results, so it's a glitch likely across the board.

      Here is another picture of how severe this is. It's kind of driving me insane because I had no problems since the launch of Forge prior to Memories of Reach and now I'm getting really severe lighting issues. What's worse, is that it doesn't seem to be happening to anyone else.

      It's literally on all of my maps. I feel like I'm on some blacklist lol

      I'm getting similar blocky shadows that weren't there before as well, though only in a few smaller portions of my map.

      I believe the primitiveblock 128 X 128 X 32 is now 127 X 128 X 32. I just noticed a 1 foot crack in my road that wasn't there before.

      I have the same problem, but it was also happening before Memories of Reach. Lightmap is under 100% because some objects become dark if I am above the limit. I don't understand why I have these shadows.

      Shadows from the two first pics seem to appear randomly when I add lights (even if lightmap limit is green), but shadows from the two last pics appear everytimes.

      This problem has to do with the amount of baked lights on your map. Change your lights to dynamic, and see if that helps.

      I get disconnected from the server within ten seconds without fail every time I load my map in forge mode. This issue only happens on a specific map; I don’t have any issues with any other maps. If I load a custom game in that same map it disconnects me even quicker.

      This is extremely frustrating because I’ve put a lot of time into this map and now I can’t stay connected to it. I made some changes to the map after the Memories of Reach released and forged on it for hours without a single issue, but since I took a break and came back to it I can’t stay connected to it. Has anyone run into this issue or knows how to fix this? The only thing that stops it from crashing is quickly deleting all unlocked objects which happens to delete my entire map except four pieces. I’ve tried changing teams, resaving the map, regenerating the light, and staying only in monitor mode and player mode. I even tried deleting everything new item I’ve added to the map since the Memories of Reach update by quickly deleting and quick saving before each disconnect but nothing seems to fix it.
