Yes it certainly would, but with the several designs I have drawn out (each as a backup plan). I plan on compromising aesthetics where I would need balance. I am perfectly okay with ending up at 2v2, but my first testing sessions will begin this weekend so we will see if i can ramp up the player count to 4v4! The feedback is very humbling since this is my first map in H5 so I`m doing everything in my power to meet or exceed expectations
Episode 4 has been done for months lol. Literally, months. I just hate this game so I don't want to upload it.
Even though my map is finished, I'm going through certain parts of it to add further aesthetic details, starting with the outside perimeter of the building. Windows, foliage, supports etc.
Check out my map in my files RRSS. In 5 mins into the game an event will happen. It's a Re imagination of recovery from COD-AW. Tons of scripting involved. Only power weapons on map. So bring a BR or weapon of choice. Supports all slayer gametypes. Spawning system uses teleporters. You won't be disappointed in the gameplay. Theme of map is always subject to change along with anything else that needs fixed moved or rotated. Thx for checking it out. Leave me a reply and let me hear your thoughts on the map. Will take any feedback I can get. Thanks again. GT. EEEINSTEIN
You just described what everyone who isn't a casual or a Halo purist most new Halo players would say about Halo
Actually most people find halo 5s core gameplay to be repulsive lol I'm basing this off of population numbers. Halo 5 doesn't really have "issues" the way Doom does. Doom has potential to be a good game because the actual core mechanics are fun. It's the stupid sprinkles on top that ruin it, like loadouts, hack modules, demon runes. Halo 5 has even starts and all that jazz, the core gameplay just blows. It's the exact opposite of doom.
Part of me saw the new Forge update and was like "Wow so many maps I can make now because I can actually accomplish convincing visuals." But then the other part of me was like "Wow so many maps I will never finish because level design takes too much brain power and I'm an art guy." Think I'm just going to wait for Overwatch.
I think your a good level designer. You overthink stuff and that leads to you not thinking your a good level designer which in turn affects your level design and leads to you not being as good of a level designer as you could be lol..... Truth is, your your own worst critic. Don't hold yourself to higher standards than the devs do.
