Everyone knows i'll build it, play it once and scrap it when it doesn't end up feeling like the map I want it to though.
I was immediately reminded of the Black Garden from the inial layout pictures Goat (especially since I just ran that mission with my friend tonight, lol). I'm glad I wasn't the first one to mention it, afraid of mentioning Destiny PS if other players enjoy your map, don't just scrap it, table it, come back to it later. What you find familiar and irritating from living and building in, others find fresh and exciting. You are that far ahead of the pack, accept that, and...share.
Hi all, I have a question concerning scripting. I'm working on a 3-floored elevator and all that's left for me to add are the call buttons. I'm using the Invisible Switch for the interaction, but I want the call buttons to despawn unless it's directly at that floor. I have the scripts exactly as they should be for that, but for some reason they never despawn. Could someone shed some light on this issue, because I really want it to work. EDIT: I forgot another question about this as well. For some reason, whenever I start up the map again, the doors on the upper and lower floor open even though I have no script that tells them to do this. Why does this happen?
Breakout scaffolds. Is there any way to make them not black? I swear I got them to change colors once but now I can't figure it out
S select an on object you can change the color of at the same time. @MultiLockOn Pff please you act like I don't like alcohol. Btw I should be back online tomorrow.
What is your file name? I could hop on the map after this weekend and look if the video posted above doesn't help. Also, do you have anything that triggers on spawn? Everything spawns at the start of the round unless you say no place at start - so that would be my guess for the weird behavior. I fixed it by creating a script that ran during the intro cam to reset everything - it just sent a message on Zulu. Then, everything that was misbehaving for a script added to it that reset the behavior to what I intended.
Unfortunately the video doesn't really help for several reasons. First of, he uses the actual Switch item and I use the invisible one with the actual Switch only there for the cosmetic effect. Even if that wouldn't make a difference, the video also doesn't make the switches despawn when they are at their floors. Lastly and perhaps most importantly, I use an entirely different method of scripting. The video uses Power On/Off and I use Messages. If you could check it out, that'd be great. The most up-to-date version of the map it's in is called Lost in Space Spawns. If you start up the map you should be facing the elevator.
Also why in the world does it not spawn me on the spawn points in my map when I load it up in forge anymore? I have to fly cross-canvas just to get to where I'm building everytime I die or load it up :/
