I know, the last 10% of a map is ridiculously hard. It makes me want to give up. --- Double Post Merged, Mar 30, 2016 --- No problem man, I don't expect anything from anyone
Agreed... final polishing is always a pain. Not just in this system though. Polish is 10% of the work that takes 90% of the time.
Just so everyone has a heads up. Given and I have discovered the new "metal" in this game and will be showing maps with this new technique soon enough. Get ready for your trousers to be blown off Also don't bother looking at our files because the maps saved on an alt
I'm pretty sure the halo 5 forge lightning system has shortened my lifespan by at least 73.5897 days. Just why 343i. Needless to say, I'm almost sure the lighting on my Van Delarship is unfixable. Tried several times to move it, but it doesn't help. The lighting box on alpine is complete diabetes. I'm moving it to eden. It won't look great, but it wont look like complete ass ethier. I just wanna play it without random cryptic shadow messages, strange massive light waves that appear and dissapear and dark ass areas everwhere needing way to many lights to look good. That's worth the sacrifice of any type of shadow IMO. Sorry multi . If you think you can make the unfinished versions lighting look good, go for it, I'll be forever greatful Edit:MuffinManSwag is multis alt if anyone wants to see the map. Just make sure you have your diapers on when you load it up.
I don't mind thinking about the weapon layout nor the testing and post-editing parts, it's getting the lighting right, getting the lightmap right, and making sure their weird spawn zones aren't weird.
multi alt is iknowmetalmounds --- Double Post Merged, Mar 30, 2016 --- We talk about basketball here. Waywo discussion is in the basketball thread.
I wish all of you guys were in the party with given and multi I was in last night. I haven't laughed as hard as that in a while.
Amen... the amount of overhead that is required to get a map out the door is a hassle. Part of the reason why I put together a team so people could cover each other when they get sick of looking at a project. We were finishing up Artemis Square and @MythicFritz was afraid to fix the lighting in Hotel, but @black picture jumped on and did a sweep himself, which really helped a ton in pushing the map to Beta.
It's the new Styrofoam piece they added yesterday. But for real, I think it's a jersey barrier cover piece. EDIT: Lol @ not refreshing the page in decades and forgetting to refresh then trying to answer a question that's been answered a billion times already.
