I'll ask tomorrow, now here it's pretty late. But I'll tell you that the forge community in Italy isn't particularly developed. Yeah, I know some people who forge, but that's it. I think that a collaboration or anything like that would be pretty useful for us italians to grow up, and also for the forge community in general. I find it funny that people are stating that people are leaving forge because of certain CC's. To be quite frank... Please fuk off and go because clearly the forge community doesn't need you... If your only goal of making a map is to get it into match-making we DONT need you. And as far as I am concerned duck is doing a brilliant job and should be a CC's for the following reasons, Has a long history of creating maps from Halo 3 onwards.... He actual creates maps.... Has been consistent in making maps for games that were not ideal.... He is always active on forums for both Halo-customs and Forgehub... He actively uploads forge and customs related content to YouTube...
Looks like I'll be brushing up on those Forge & map design guides you guys have posted. Until that brushing though, you can bet your ass that whatever I lack in full comprehensiveness of Forge, I make up for in dedication and passion. Basically, I won't take no for an answer
Most of the people who would actually make good CC's have already been asked, and they all have said no.
I'll be short with my post, as I've been down this road too many times, and every time it's blown up in my face. There are a lot of good issues being raised here, and I think aPK and MultiLockOn really hit the nail on the head. And just to drive a point home, yes, there really are forgers that have given up much in part because of this. I've scarcely touched forge since I finished my last map because I'm so disappointed with the current state of the community, most notably that of the CCs. When you feel like your creations won't get a fair look, you just stop caring. I'm reversing an earlier opinion that I once had. I don't think adding more blood to the CCs will help alleviate the problem (I'm also pissed you would suggest that after blowing up on me for the same thing a few months earlier). What we really need are strict rules about how the CCs will be governed, much like what aPK put forth. We need something that will restore faith in the cartographer system. As it stands, I'm tired of this bullshit. Tired of the drama. I'm just glad to see other people standing up finally instead of myself. At least this time I probably won't get made the villain... I hope.
I was gone for the H2A era and most of the Halo 4 era, and that seems to have been when most of this bad blood towards the CCs has transpired. I'm just going to put my own opinion out there, and say that my personal experiences have never been as rough as what others claim theirs to be. Most of them I consider friends, and that has nothing to do with them being CCs. I agree with both parties on this. I agree that transparency between CCs and the community is extremely important, and I understand how the way 343 has the system set up makes transparency an obstacle.
I don't want to name names until there is a specific thread for it or someone from the cc's asks for my input. (probably not gonna happen) Edit: I will say that I think literally any other two active forgers would be better than Duck and Fated.

You got the wrong idea. The assumption was made that flood/infection would happen when in reality it was just a community "fun" version that was over-hyped by some, and assumptions were made upon assumptions.
Didn't sound like it, but that obviously isn't as bad. The part that get me is that I recently asked about infection, and every CC assured me that they didn't know or inform anyone ahead of the masses. They lied, and then deleted your post when the truth came out.
Sometimes things slip out I guess, or the more likely case of an overcrowded party chat and people hearing snippets of conversations and rolling with it.
You can disregard the last half of my post, but read the bullet points. I don't often post on forums anywhere, as I do not care if the masses see my maps. I know they are quality maps, as I don't finish anything I don't feel good about, but this topic is a must. I think another post needs to be created to slim down the "fatty" posts and make the read easier. I know I skipped pages 2-3.
