I can't wait to fight and defeat the Warden, again. I'm also not sure whether or not to be excited or reluctant about the REQ system's inclusion in this mode out of UI speed concerns. At least you can see some of the new REQs in action in the trailer, like the Mantis.
firefight was pretty awesome, but I just know 343 will "evolve" the concept and ruin it much like the rest of the game.
Firefight, to me, was always the go-to mode where I'd just chill with friends and take it easy slaying AI. I think Halo 5's offering could benefit immensely from the addition of Firefight considering nearly every playlist is like a sauna with all the sweaties in them. I can't even play Social Fiesta without running into a 5-player pre-made all wearing matching undies trying to spawn camp my team with Snipers and Incineration Cannons. I'll reserve my judgement of 343's interpretation of the mode until I play it, but if they stay true to the Reach/ODST style of having multiple options of play I'm game. If it truly is just the first phase of Warzone repeatedly I think a lot of players, including myself, will be disappointed in a classic Halo mode that's been gutted to become a REQ sink.
I know they are going to **** it up somehow... I mean lets think about this, they have had mess ups with FF before. Example 1: Replacing it with Recycle Ops in H4. Example 2: Not including it with ODST on the MCC (RIP best Firefight).
ODST firefight will not be contended with. It was the most interesting, difficult, and rewarding to play. Reach took all those aspects and threw them out the window, gave you a mac cannon, and dropped AI in the same exact spot down from a drop ship. Halo 5 will expand on Reach's version with the addition of vehicles and truely spawning with anything you want. I just want a time machine to go back to 2009 so I can be happy again.
But then you have to experience h4, MCC, and halo 5 again... I would just travel forward in time to the day I die.
