Yeah but with proper software you can actually make maps that aren't literal squares. You're just limiting yourself with Murder Miners editor.
To me, level design is more than just floor plans and manipulating how players will play a map, but a marriage of aesthetics and floor plans. When you disregard aesthetics, you disregard one aspect of player manipulation; that is, leading a player by pulling their eyes. To be a truly competent level designer, you also have to embrace aesthetic vision. What's the point of trying to master a card game if you'll never play with the full deck?
Must have gone over your head. I'll try to dumb it down. Aesthetics play a role in level design. Twat.
So Vex! ****, I want to play Destiny now. Can you leave invis blockers at strategic locations to allow double jumps? (Even if it's just for the trailer?)
Is that theme based on something or did you guys make it up? Edit, read more posts. Destiny related? Never played Destiny.
