Sorry, I wasn't directing it toward any specific person. People get disappointed over things sometimes that actually make it better for them, and so it's of my nature to speak up when I don't understand the complaint. I could have rephrased it all by saying "from a player's standpoint" high velocity rounds perform basically the same as hitscan, and that I'm happy it will consistently hit where you aim. They changed the Railgun so the Overpowered weapon will reward consistent aiming so it can be Overpowered consistently and not Overpowered randomly lol. If you look at it like that it might be seen as an improvement. One thing to be disappointed about though, is that I believe the headshot is still happening when more than half the reticule is below the head which looks like a chestshot. If it was like CE, you would need to aim higher than that and for best results, higher than the head. I'm hoping that system is tweaked for future Halos or updates.
No need to be sorry. I was being a sarcastic douche. Haven't got to play CE pistol customs yet. If what you say is true, I agree. Off topic: I'm not looking forward to playing any 2v2 maps that feature the railgun as the only power weapon.
Let me get this straight with a noob question. Hit scan is like you are running side ways & as long as my reticule is on you my shots are hitting you & projectiles means I have to lead your movement just a bit so that my bullets hit you? Am I understanding this right?
Yup. For an exaggerated example, think of the manual fire on the Hydra: the bullets are moving projectiles that take time to travel to where you aimed at when you pulled the trigger.
Is that why everyone hates the Railgun? Cuz it seems like it should be a projectile but if you are aiming at them it's an instant kill.
