Okay its finished and in place. I ended up using 52 objects for it. I used a few invis blockers so that its very clean to run around on aswell. Traversing it is such a major improvement. One engine and the front of the airship scream 'run up me' as you come out of shotgun caves and its a perfect bridge all the way across. This will be an outstanding low cost prop once we have that feature available too. Thanks a ton to @WARHOLIC for suggesting i take another shot at making it more believable. Not only does it look great for only 52 objects but it feels great and im much happier with the map as a whole. Here it is finished in the sky and i hope you all check it out on the map itself in the future.
YOu can still start it up when it says retrieving data. If anyone doesn't know this. If you had a save fail it probably means you have to many files.

Well I have this problem as well but I for sure don't have too many files. My map keeps saying retrieving data as well but it will load, and it saves too but the problem is that it won't "save as" and it is under the name "tre ezr scrpt". I have so much progress on it from the most recent version before that so idk wth to do. Somebody mentioned having another person in the game with you save it or something, not sure exactly.
Have you tried deleting stuff because that has worked for me. I don't know there so much weird ****. I can't even mess with lighting on frank without going to custom game because it has ****ing red hue on it when generated in forge.
Yea just get a buddy to join, they save it and than u get it from there files and re " save as" a new file and boom problem fixed. This has happened to me 3 times, not sure what causes it.
Are you looking at a locked object when you generate lighting in forge? This has happened to me a few times, let me explain: You know how when you look at an object, it will be outlined and the outline will blink (yellow for objects, green for groups, red for "locked" objects, etc)? I had it happen to me a few times where I was looking at a group, which was blinking green, then generated light and everything had a green tint to it. At first I didn't know what was going on, but I happened to have a glass block next to me, and when I looked in the reflection it had that green outline around the block I had been looking at previously. So basically what was happening was that the game was taking a screenshot from [0,0,0] in order to generate the lighting/reflections, and the outline around the object made it in there somehow. I fixed it by just generating lighting again while looking at the sky (or anywhere with no objects). Hope that helps you.
I don't have a whole lot of files but I deleted down to less than 20 now and it's still acting like a terd. I'll try this. Thanks.
I think those shadows have dyabetes. Dont ask why but your map scar makes me really want to make a hobbit map. If your reading this, get at me multi. This was your idea first and I don't wanna step on your creative toes haha
It seems my map has retrieved it's data. All of a sudden today I loaded it up & it didn't say "retrieving data" so I started it up real quick & saved as new as "Trestles" & it worked so now I have a properly named map to finish.
So, it really was "retrieving data." lol I just said fudge it and rebuilt off an earlier build... always saving various copies anyways, I'll just be doing it more often now.
