North American Regionals
The Halo World Championship is down to the final 16 teams in North America. This weekend (February 19-21), those teams will fight for the top 8 spots at the North American Regionals, which guarantees them an invitation to the World Championship Finals in March.
Format
The tournament will begin with round robin pool play. Each team will play a series against the other teams in their pool. The top 2 in each pool advance to the bracket stage, and most importantly, secure their spot at the Halo World Championship in March. Each series will be a best of 5, which will include a mixture of Team Slayer, Strongholds, and Capture the Flag gametypes.
The pools are organized as follows:
Pool A
Allegiance - Naded, El Town, Suspector, Cratos
Dream Team - Prototype, Tire Iron, Jesse Peace, Aries
Triggers Pound - Cloud, Danoxide, Hysteria, Assault
Optic - Flamesword, Maniac, Lifestyle, Chaser
Pool B
CLG - Royal 2, Snakebite, Frosty, Lethul
Noble - Swift Kill, Calm Mentality, Penguin, Rayne
Elevate - Str8 Sick, Nemmasist, Munoz, Goofy
Overdrive - Kephri, Vetoed, Monstercr, Levy
Pool C
EG - Roy, Lunchbox, Commonly, Snipedown
EnvyUs - Ogre 2, Mikwen, Pistola, Arkanum
Denial - Contra, Predevonator, Huke, Bubudubu
Winterfox - Randa, Ryanoob, Shooter, Domey
Pool D
Liquid - APG, Heinz, Ace, Unlegit
Renegades - Spartan, Ninja, Victory X, Stellur
Soar - Hunter Jjx, Winntur, Juicy Fruit, SneakEBeaver
Astral Authority - King Nick, Hoaxer, Mr Blakerz, Gabriel
8 teams that advance are drawn into the bracket (details can be found in the spoiler below). The bracket stage will begin with a best of 5 series in the Quarter Finals, followed by best of 7 series' in the Semis and Grand Final.
- The top finishing team from each Group will be randomly drawn into the Bracket and placed from top to bottom
- Each top finishing team will face a second place finishing team from a different Group from their own
- No two (2) teams from the same Group may occupy the same half of the Bracket

The return of Halo to the MLG stage will coincide with the return of Chris Puckett, one of competitive Halo's most beloved characters.
