Hey guys, I'm back with another work in progress. This time I wanted to try and get a lot more vertical with my designs while achieving good balance. I also was gunning to try the elvish theme for a long time now (especially after Shurima). Also decided to shift my creation to a out of the box canvas (literally), to avoid dealing with all the lighting glitches. PHOTO TIME!
Wayyy more elven than the first version and with what appears to be a fun tight playing asym design. Well done. Tho I wish you woudve attempted your sauron tower map first because now when I show people my map they like " another elf map???? What has demption started?!" I just facepalm.
I'm diggin' the doorway designs. I know it's a WIP, but are you gonna add more colors to the overall design? It looks kinda flat atm Looking good mate
Yeah, one thing that stands out straight away is how everything blends together. You'll need to do something to break it up. Some bright lights could probably do wonders.
I thought that I was going to bring my eldrazi deck and have a hump-fest, but instead I'm here to beat a bunch of wimpy little elves into a bloody pulp. Well, about the map, I think that you should make the curved pieces in the last picture connecting the floor to the wall spring ju... I should seriously stop myself.
Man, I wish I had the patience and desire to make things look this good. You've got a talent, keep being motivated with the themes like this. I'm sure I'm not the only one that looking to it for inspiration. What this play for? 4v4? Sorry if it says in the post and I'm being dumb. Haha
Oh look another map I have to 15-0 you on redemption maybe this time map knowledge will finally beat gun skill? Also the roofs look Japanese took me 5 mins to figure out it was the elf map from the pictures...
a thought: the catwalks/walkways are probably too open and visible to one another. Perhaps a big ancient tree in the middle would break up sight and also look very "elvan" (rather than elvish, which is the elvan language FYI I am not even a tolkien-geek.)
