Here's my latest map, powderkeg. It's a simple 2 base 2 tower map made for 2v2, 3v3, and FFA. I'd really appreciate some feedback and suggestions.
Like I said in the chat, but just so you can reference, if you wanted to stick to a "Powderkeg" idea, you could theme the map with more black/grey/brown, more metal, and maybe some black fog to make it feel more like black powder. You could even use some bits of Parallax terrain in corners with some black-colored lights on it to make it look like piles of black powder. Otherwise, you could call it Chalk or Talc, to fit a more white-powdered feeling
Thanks for the feedback Alec. I like Chalk and will rename it if I make more changes. Zombie lol I'm more focused on layout and gameplay for the time being. I'm only getting to the point where it makes sense to incorporate aesthetics.
No I'm not trying to comment on aesthetics I just have a map made of white pieces but they all look tan so I'm just kinda lashing out.
Looks great! My only suggestion would be making the bottom area of your light post (literally the post itself) a little bigger to encourage players to take the bottom route a little more as well as give them more of a fighting chance against the high ground.
Played this with my friends, 2v2 and FFA ... Plays really nice. Good size for 2v2. If it were mine, I'd take SmartAlec's advice and add a little color.
There are subtle verticality differences, but I was worried about too much verticality overpowering the map since it's pretty small and open. I probably won't change the verticality for this one, but I appreciate your feedback and will keep it in mind for future maps.
