I'm totally down for this. 4v4 will always be my favorite type of Halo, and I feel like I'm not getting enough exposure to the really good 4v4 maps in Halo 5.
Count me in mid-week, and kudos for thinking everything through so thoroughly. I'll do my best to impress and look forward to some tough love to shake off the forging dust
I played last night, and i gotta say, it was a ton of fun. Lots of good communication, some really cool maps, and of course, tons of sweat. It was really hard not giving feedback for the maps directly though. I kept seeing things I liked, or things that could be improved. Who knew it was so hard to just play the game lol
Thanks for the great lobby last night folks. I'm going to figure out a way to organize and keep track of the maps we do play. If I remember correctly we got through 4 maps. They were some heated games and we had a few connection issues but it worked out great with everyone in game chat and calling out and fighting to win. Best 2 out of 3 is a great format that is allowing us to really learn the maps and play them well. Maps played: Simplexion - @A Haunted Army via @GodlyPerfection Evergreen - @Captain Punch N15 - Scrub Meee Gutter - @SmartAlec13 Those that showed up: @GodlyPerfection Scrub Meee @SmartAlec13 @Captain Punch @Chesus Khrist @xMalevolution @black picture @N1TRO @Yekkou (sorry about all the issues man it was chaotic for those games, I'll make sure you get next priority) @What's A Scope? (I wish we could have gotten your party chat working man, let's try to work this out) Hope to see some new people out tonight at the same time. I'll try to figure out logistics for an opposite timezone timed one for people like @Sikamikanico and @A Haunted Army . Let me know if there is any other interest in that early morning or lunch PST timed lobby. @Sikamikanico I could host a lobby during lunch for that EU Sweaty Hour.
hm.. have you put any consideration into how the feedback is going to be delivered for the people who couldn't attend?
I think keeping a list is good. Also, I like the 2/3 format for gameplay, but I do know it might take long. We went almost the full time, and only tested 4 maps. Imagine if everyone had a map to bring. Maybe we play with shorter settings? Like half score, or half time?
I'm working on figuring that out. Don't worry man. I've got you covered. I think the format is fine. 4 maps is great especially if we are getting 4 nights a week. Shorter play tune will defeat what makes this special which is really diving deep into maps. We will not be cutting time or diluting the experience. If this grows then I'll manage a way to handle overflow. What makes this system unique is that deeper testing for those that have trouble getting that sort of thing. Which is especially difficult in loosely organized lobbies.
I was mainly just thinking it would be really disappointing to come into the lobby to get your map played, but we only have time for 4-5 and your map doesn't get played.
Are you going to make a post for reviews? 1-4 order, one picture of each map, and a tag to the map maker. It be a great way for us to review and give feedback for the map maker
This is amazing. Count me in whenever you need someone. I like to play test and have some content needing play tests from people who can give an insightful look more than "it sucks" or "it's really good"
@GodlyPerfection This could be good. I would really like some feedback on Gutter, and I also have a decent amount of feedback for the other maps we played
I might be able to come tonight, or tomorrow night. I want to try to make some changes to Gutter before we play it again.
I THINK WE CAN ALL AGREE, last nights break out game was just a disgusting sweaty mess to victory! RED TEAM blood gang! Lol @GodlyPerfection @SmartAlec13 @Sn1p3r C
Gah, Monday I was in but Comcast decided to throw a fit (as per usual) and got kicked ): Hope to join in again sometime. Later today most likely.
