Thanks again Para for doing this. Although I couldn't be there to take part I stayed up to watch the first couple hours of the stream and for the most part I really liked what I saw. I think Rabid Hogs' Frostbite stood out to me the most. It reminded me of a halo CE map, but it actually had some really great balancing elements. The bridge in the middle was clearly very open and a lot of kills were made taking people down trying to cross it, but that works just fine because it's the quickest way from base to base and therefore should be the riskiest route. Smart players were making use of the alternative routes around the sides. I didn't see too much action from the mantises, and think I heard a comment or two about the lack of usefulness. (I'm getting all this from watching iPara's perspective though). I thought the scorpion was a great power vehicle, and it got a lot of action but I do have concerns that in it's current starting position it can be very difficult to get out of the building without being hijacked. Ultimately the scorpion will remain stationary either in the middle or outside one of the bases and will act more as a stationary cannon. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but I wonder if the author has considered or tested the map with a banshee or phaeton in place of the scorpion as they have much greater maneuverability. Reminiscence looked awesome too, and was a very well made clone of the Halo CE level segment. I'd like to see more from this map. My only concern is the asymmetry, since one team completely dominated the other in the playtest. This isn't a very representative sample so it may not be an issue in the average game. The strongholds did look particularly large though. Lastly I'd like to say thanks for everybody who played on my map, Checkpoint 19. The gameplay looked so much better than the first time, and nobody complained about the spawning. If you would like to leave some feedback on the map I'll leave the link to the map post below. http://www.forgehub.com/maps/checkpoint-19.1561/
What did you guys think of the prisoner remaster 'Convicted'? I know the lobby was a little too large for the map (it's built for 4v4) but I'd love to hear feedback http://www.forgehub.com/maps/convicted.1512/
lol no I'm not looking for feedback on highway. It was the first map I made in halo 3 and I also my first map on halo 5 to get used to forge. Breached is my 10th map for halo 5 so it was more a test to see how far I've come rather than get feed back on highway. Thanks for the feed back on breached.
Hey everyone, my map Colonial was featured in the stream and i want as much constructive feedback available, good and bad! I'm aware the spawn are a mess, in stream and my own test sessions. Also i heard some issues with brightness i will adress. During my own test session i have recieved mostly positive reviews, and during the stream i heard praise for the layout and aesthetics more. Any other specific observations and opinions i would love to hear. PM or reply via this post Thanks :]
That explains a lot. You've come a long way and I look forward to seeing more competitive maps you produce. Again, nice work on Breached.
