Spent many hours making a layout as i considering how it will play flag and strongholds and is also designed to incorporate the theme im pushing for it which has me super excited. Ive built much of it already. It should play both gametypes without huge portions of the map being ignored and has equal capture times from any direction you choose except bottom which is a little quicker but more risky. I really want the map to not play like the overcomplicated cluster**** that a lot of halo 5 developer and community forge maps are with a million ways to get everywhere and no legitimate way of predicting enemy movement. Choosing your route and working with your teammate to set yourselves up in the right locations should be key. Every room has only 3 areas of entrance except bottom mid. The layout may seem hallway based but its really not; Just enough to open opportunity for the sniper. Dark is bottom, white is top. Arrow is lift. Triangle in middle drops to clamberable platform that drops to bottom. Bottom grey squares are the team spawns. Two colors in one rectangle area is a slant. Ive changed some things but its mostly the same.
Uploading this tomorrow after I get a video walk though of the place to my personal channel!! Just a small peak at what I've got done. Still a few more things to fix but it'll have to wait till morning.
I would move the two side Strongholds lower on the picture to create more of a triangular pattern between the two. That way, the entirety of the map is used. Other than that, it seems like an interesting design. I'll have to see how it turns out.
So if breakout floors can reflect everything that's on top of them, why are reflections in glass generated from an image taken from [0,0,0]? You could make some pretty baller stuff if glass reflected it's environment properly.

Official Cartographer task commenced today. We're looking for BTB maps for a future update. I'm sure many of you may have caught wind of this in a recent Halo live stream but wanted to let you know that we are now on active duty. If you have any BTB projects in the works please take the time to revisit them shortly. I don't have any specific information to share regarding timing yet.
Screen Screen space reflections are cheap to render, and consequently have a lot of visual artifacts.

So I figured out what the visual "hook" is gonna be on Precursor. Now I just gotta figure out how to add more character and visual interest to the geometry itself. I've also updated the weapon placement, simplified the "towers" (which aren't even towers anymore), got rid of the two lifts on the low lane, and made the middle beam a central lift.
I am extremely disappointed with the community right now, and am utterly ashamed to be a part of it. It is beyond me how no one has recreated and posted a Minislaught in the two months that Forge has been out. You all disgust me.
Well, at least you finally came out and said it... still unsure if I'll be making my map though (the one I told you about months ago). Really hoping Squally's map gets a good look for this.
