Map download: Jericho Gametype downloads: Jericho 1-Bomb Jericho CTF Ladies and Gentlemen, my pride and joy: Jericho. Background information: Jericho was an "impenetrable" fortress in the Bible that stood in the way of the Israelites on their way to the Promised Land. I like how the name sounds, and I thought that the name would be appropriate. A view of the area in front of Jericho Map description: As I said in the title, this is a large fortress map for large team-objective based games. Unfortunately, the map is designed to be played with the game variants that I designed. Half of the map is taken up by Jericho, and the other half is cluttered with barriers and single-boxes (to provide cover). The actual fortress is far larger than it actually looks and hard to breach. It has many "cubbyholes", or places where defenders can hide and ambush the attackers. It has two guard towers and 8 gun turrets, all with over-lapping fields of fire. The actual objective is in a large "basement" under Jericho. Two of those "cubbyholes" that I was talking about. A picture of Jericho's basement. So, download, rate, recommend to all your friends (Please?), etc. Constructive criticism is welcomed.
Looks like a fun 1 flag/1 bomb map, and not too bad for no interlocking. Id Download but there is no space on my Harddrive. 4.7/5, good job! Happy Forging! Desert Rat 852
One of the best non-interlocking maps I've seen. If you want I'll teach you how to interlock and all that good stufff...And I will even help you with a version 2. By the way Welcome to Forge Hub, and I thank you in advance for posting a map that meets the requirements. Nice to know one new person reads the rules, well or at least leaves descriptive posts. My GT is Furieux Shadow
couple of things... -great map -try putting a link up please (to bungie fileshare) -Question: what gametype workes better with the map?
Thanks, everyone. I know how to interlock now, but I didn't when I made Jericho. I made it 1-1 1/2 weeks ago, but I learned how to interlock about a week ago by a friend of mine. BTW, Furyz, I didn't post a link to my fileshare because that's exactly what I'm not supposed to do... Right? EDIT: Oh and to answer Furyz question: I haven't playtested it yet >_< I've showed it to people but I've never managed to get enough people to play an actual game.
It does look like it might be fun, but I have seen many maps that look like this. Welcome to ForgeHub and hope to see more posts by you.
Haha, nice to see a first post that follows all the rules. This is kind of a basic map, you may or may not know this; people will ask for interlocking and better aesthetic details. I'm not going to download because I'm sure you can do better. I'll save the space for later maps of yours.
8 turrets? damn, thats a lot. I hope you made the defenders not completely overpowered and gave the attackers something to help them out.
The thing is, though, I don't like interlocking. It takes a long time and, to be honest, I don't know where to actually interlock on this map.
... Don't take this personally. I'm just going to remind the rest of you what I already said: I ALREADY KNOW HOW TO INTERLOCK
