What is the best way to handle a person that steals a map from someone else, and claim's it as their own?
Personally I would just post on all his posts that he stole your map. If you have previous maps versions of the map in question then direct peoples attention to those versions. Unfortunately because 343 decided to let everyone take any map at any time there are few ways to protect yourself.
Thank you for letting me know, but unfortunately, the map was taken from a friend of mine. He won't be back on xbox until next week, so I hope to get this done by then. I hope though that in the future 343i, will fix the map stealing issue with the file share system.
I just Tweeted Tom French to add in the option to disallow people from taking maps/gametypes you don't have set to be so. he record everyone's suggestions so hopefully he will do something sooner than later
Let him have it and start a new map! Or if it is someone else's, offer your own creation in place of it.

I'm kidding obviously. Sorry. Thinking about this reminded me of a YouTube series someone did back in halo 3 where (I believe) they'd go in with the creator of the map and embarrass the their. I wonder if anyone could find those videos again. My map got stolen once in halo 3. Right after I finished everything I wanted to do, someone made a post for it and everything. Luckily all the regulars knew it was mine. The map ended up getting featured after that got sorted out and I re-posted it. Haha. And there really isn't much you can do about it right now. At least not until 343 fixes the save overs. At some point they'll probably have it "created by ..." "Last edited by ..." While we wait for that, place an Easter egg, like a few decals spelling out your initials inside of a random block somewhere that you have to tear apart the map to find it.
So Thorrulf...your friend is saying Anemeros stole this? Interesting. I know he didn't. But you will believe your friend over a stranger. Perhaps you are the middle man being lied to by someone you trust. Sorry but I helped watch Anemeros build Jade Harbor. I think your friend is pulling the wool over your eyes here.
I want someone to steal my maps haha dont care about the credit, just want people to play them. Any exposure is good exposure. If a maps good enough to be stolen, well that's gotta feel pretty good.
While I agree that 343 needs to fix this issue ASAP, this guy is already going around and spreading lies about me. Either he is trolling in an effort to bring attention to a friend, in collusion with said friend, or being lied to by said friend...
