I had a lot of fun last night, there were a lot of great maps to play on. Deity was pretty fun to play flag on, but I wasn't a big fan of the colors used. Unfortunately, I didn't really explore too much when we played it, so I don't have a lot to say about it at the moment. Cedar Plaza was great, no complaints from me as of yet. Wendigo needs work, it was way too hard to push through the middle. Episphere was hilarious, not much to be said about it. If you guys could give me some feedback on Echoes, I would really appreciate it. I know someone said the teleporter receivers were too easy to camp, so I'll see what I can do about that.
Thanks for playing Wendigo guys - hugely helpful feedback. This is probably the earliest version of a map I've ever had tested, so I appreciate you all being patient with me and soldiering through the turribleness. I will be making some big changes to the central area to make it more traversable on foot. One of the big pieces of feedback was that there was "only one" route across, when in actuality I attempted to have five - so that's on me for not making the paths more obvious. Did anyone have any particular feedback concerning the weapons/vehicles? I didn't hear any during the stream, but I want to be sure. Haven't made an inverse-symm in ages so getting the balance right is key. Thanks so much for all the helpful feedback. Can't wait to make it as fun to play as it is to look at.
Hey guys, thanks for play testing my map Waterworx. Paranormal, thanks for hosting. I know our game was kinda lopsided because red team was down 3 people but it was still fun. I am going to continue to work on the map and tweak it according to some of the feedback. The feedback I heard was that there needs to be more anti vehicular weapons. I'm thinking of adding a spartan laser in place of the saw. I want to also scale the map down a bit, it seems that the gameplay was just a little too spread out. I am going to try to move both tunnels closer to center as well as try to minimize the amount of time it take to get to bottom middle. I am open to hearing any additional feedback as I am trying to make this map something special. Let me know your thoughts!
i thought the biggest mistake of the night was me messing up my saves so i didn't have a playable version of simplexion to test. i still want to see the video you did for it.
Yea man that sucks so bad.. We booted up simplexion and there was only .6 maps. When I get home I'll link you to the VoD
that was golden, not only was the preview fun but you actually played it. for the others wondering, the reason it was half a map was because i had a test on it before the lobby where scaling turned out to be an issue so while experimenting with the scaling i accidentally hit the back button for quick save instead of save as new.
