I have been working hard to remake Valhalla. In reality, though, it's actually more similar to Ragnarok. It currently supports Team Slayer and Strongholds. The map is not finished; there is still some work that I want to do with the bases and terrain, as well as adding more game play and objective elements to the map.
it is but i'll be making a lot of changes throughout the weekend, so it wouldn't really make sense without the context of what i'm doing.
Yeah, I plan to do some power forging late into the early morning hours tonight. Y'all hit me up if you do any testing late. I like to take customs or mm breaks to help me stay awake lol.
How large is your map in relation to the amount of objects w/ object bake turned "on"?. I'm only at 68% lightmap but when I start turning a few more objects back to "on", tons of objects get that lighting problem. My map was originally at 186% and now those problems start to appear when I approach 70%. All with max objects.
@Zombievillan Nothing keeps me awake into the wee hours of the night better than some good coffee and cannabis. Highly reccomended for forgers lol
This 100%. It either cashes you early or you don't go to bed. @a Chunk I don't 100% agree with the grenades on a 90 degree corner versus a 45. It is a much easier nade but if the player positions himself right he can create the same effect with a 90 degree corner. I personally think they can be more effective but that requires a player to have to nades because you angle yourself to create the 45 effect and then you throw the short 90 to stop them pushing forward. I have to throw at two different walls to make that work with a 45 degree wall
I was on that page but I quit getting high back in 08'. I'm not a big coffee fan but last Weekend I forged until my eyes started crossing & I was passing out so I chugged a Starbucks coffee/energy tall boy & gamed for another 2 hours lol.

I'll have to add a post with screen shots later as I'm about to go to bed, but I'm working on a squad/btb map based on the Tayari Plaza and Crater from Halo 3: ODST. While most of the design is the same as the end of the campaign level I'm adding quite a few of my own touches to make it suitable for multiplayer and to make it more my own and not a full remake.
Oh, I recognize this map. Looking good. HMU if you're having more problems with the lighting, might be able to help.
UPDATE: If you place an invisible blocker on top of the ring where players will be walking, it gets rid of the framerate problem.
Sweet, is there any issues with the large cylinders? I noticed when forging that if I float above them & try to select a different item on my map it selects the cylinder instead. I'm hoping this doesn't translate into customs causing bullets to stop when shooting over a cylinder.
I don't think that's a frame rate drop, I think it just acts as if you're walking on a bumpy surface.
