Since the release of Forge for Halo 5, I have made it my goal to recreate Halo 2's Lockout as close as possible to the original. The map is currently not finished but I felt I needed to show everyone what I've been working on. I created this map using coordinates from Halo 2 Anniversary's Lockdown, looking back to Halo 2 on the original Xbox, and using my knowledge from remaking Lockout back in Halo Reach and Halo 4. This map has 90% Gravity and 90% Movement Speed in mind in order for all jumps to work and for the map to play like the original. I have plans to merge my creation into the wall next to where it's currently built, to color, differentiate, and light up map geometry, and include any subtle tweaks to make this map as close to the original as I can. Any feedback is welcomed, I hope you enjoy looking at the preview of my map
How does the library window to bottom green line of site compare? That's usually the hardest one to replicate, and it's a pretty important one.
You'll be happy to know that it's near identical Taking picture now. EDIT: It's now included it in my second post.
Just found this, I think this map could be amazing. I would suggest making it a lot more aesthetic, unless you are remaking it to look like the Halo 2 version, which in today's standards would be very bland. This remake of the pit is exact, has the proper lines of sights, placements, etc. http://www.forgehub.com/maps/the-pit.1168/ what it does bring though, is incredible aesthetic. I in no way am trying to bomb your map, but with the new forge, the map could be exact with incredible aesthetics. I would love, love, love to see that and I believe that would be a great map to reappear in matchmaking!
I plan on recreating Lockouts aesthetics as close as possible but with proper lighting and various changes to make areas stand out. Right now i need to finish structural changes before i dive into color, aesthetics, and spawning. I was thinking about using various shades of blue, green, and grey.
