From a few of the comments we have heard around the old watering hole, some of you may want to do a little tweaking to your 343 co-forges. What kinds of changes do you think you may make when the new Forge releases? Will it be subtle tweaking or would you like to do a complete overhaul? I think we may know of at least one Cartographer who will want to do an overhaul, wink wink, nudge nudge. What about the rest of you forgers Are any of you looking to fuss with the official forged maps?
well obviously @The Fated Fire is going to revert the map back to his original design. the rest of the BTB maps how ever don't look too far from the original design so i'm guessing its mostly just spawn fixes, weapon adjustments and some spring cleaning.
I heard @NOKYARD was going to add triggers for windows and spice up the bases on Deadlock plus some refinements to the spawning system.
Not much was changed to the design on Antifreeze so I'm not sure what I would do differently other than really small things. Actually, I would revisit the base design so they have more exit routes. This is the beauty of forge, its such a malleable level editor that we can make changes at any stage of development. Player feedback will dictate most changes.
@NOKYARD For the love of god stop the top of the base camping please!!! Put the DMR elsewhere or break the LOS a bit more; Or Snipers Plox. Otherwise incredible rendition of one of my favorite Halo 3 maps!
so hidden behind those sneaky doors will be a griffball court, complete with gravity hammers and a golf ball to smack about?
Not a bad idea Haunted. I had thought about having a one way grav lift chute from that back unused door to the silo cover platform (which used to be) above the bases.
I think he's referring to the original standoff. Behind the bases there was a step up to silo doors similar to the ones where rockets and rail spawn.
Dunno if Ducain is in here but he should definitely add some color to Guillotine and fix some of the geometry on shotgun spawn building.
I'm assuming somebody will fix the one bad initial spawn on the standoff remake? Pretty sad to see one guy start behind the enemy base in a matchmaking game.
Correct. I was thinking it would be a good alternative flag route instead of always taking sneaky, and a way to break out of the base if you are pinned inside. The upper silo platform was not accessible with vehicles and the Mongoose spawned there. Correct. Schnitzel will be fixing the spawns on Deadlock.
That's good. I don't suspect it was your fault I just think its silly that 343i let that go through in game.
